Niffty vs Velvette! So she's able to hold up her own against Overlords and she was able to help with the cannon at the end, which was the only ppl able to help were Overlords. .....Wtf was she the Overlord of? I mean, I'm not shocked, but like jesus. Also, I knew Vel was a witch!!!!

I’m starting to feel genuinely bad for Ginji. I’ve always loved him as a character and didn’t much ship him with Aoi but now I feel like that’s shifting since she spends the majority of her time with him and not Odanna. The whole exchange where she doesn’t get why he won’t stay in the room with her and just transform into a puppy shows how little she comprehends his feelings and attachment to her, which is understandable since she barely gets Odanna’s feelings for her. However, her looking at him in gratitude when he was asleep does just make you wonder what could’ve been between them if they were the romantic ship.
I had hoped for a change from last season since her and Odanna’s relationship was meant to grow and she was already away from him so much before but instead he’s now captive and away pretty much the whole season so her chemistry with Ginji is stronger than it is with the guy she’s supposed to marry.
It also doesn’t help that when other characters bring up her marriage Aoi cringes and refers to it as just a collateral arrangement. She obviously does care for Odanna and miss him given her dreaming of him in this episode but the way Ginji looks out for her and is always there does make you root for him a bit more at times.
