After enough phases of replication and recursion, the Simulacrums will gradually lose almost everything about the human forms they once took. Some of them keep the anger, though

There was always something a little off about the sheriff, an uncanny wrongness in the way he spoke and carried himself. Rocky and Eva had always just chalked that up to him being a sheriff. Turns out there was something else

For weeks after they'd found the maze on the outskirts of town, the kids debated who'd built it and why.

Eva thought it was an art installation, Chase said it was probably built as a tourist trap and abandoned.

It was only now that it occurred to them that maybe nobody built this place at all

By now, she knows it will always be gone by the time she turns around to look at it. She doesn't know what they are or what they want, but a month ago they were dots on the horizon, and this week they're a block away.

Thanks so much!

Still looking for animation design work 🙃 Feel free to reach out with any full time or freelance opportunities.

Everything here has a story, even if it's just about being a vacuum cleaner.

Work's been keeping me busy for a few months now, but I finally got around to making a new page for my comic! If the time of day seems different than last page, it's probably your imagination and definitely not because I decided I like this color scheme better.

Click the link in my bio to get caught up on the story so far, or go to https://simulacra.squarespace.com/chapter1
