fish as long as you want
#How did you do this? #What was the bone setup + modifiers to do this? #Driver in an array modefier?#Blender
@jublubdubs-cone its easy! (assuming this is in new blender as well, im sure it is but im using 2.79) things you need: - 3 meshes (1 mesh split into 3) - a curve - 2 modifiers on the middle mesh first you need to make a mesh, to divide into 3 parts. make sure the patterning on the middle section tiles with both itself and the start/end so it lines up nice.
chop it into 3 different objects using p (separate) > selection.
add a bezier curve (or any kind of curve, it doesnt really matter but circles will look weird and clip into itself with a cap) now add an Array modifier to the middle mesh (and toggle the other two pieces invisible if you want, they arent needed visible for this) set it to Fit Curve on the curve you just made. also add a Curve modifier and figure out which deformation axis looks best (or go back and flip your model around in edit mode if nothings looking correct)
ignore that my fish is apparently backwards, this is bc i wasnt paying attention and reversed it while editing
set it to Merge + mess with the distance until it looks right. and you're done! infinite fish
if you notice the start/end cap are crunching from the curve angle, try adding a new subdivision near the start/end so the bend for it is less harsh
im not sure why but ive had dreams of "nonstandard" ophanim 2 nights in a row now the first one was huge, flanked by smaller versions of itself and repeatedly turned up in the sky above my house screaming MICHELLE. MICHELLE. MICHELLE. MICHELLE. MICHELLE. the second was slightly larger than a car and i was just given it for some reason, the eye transformed into a cockpit and i nearly crushed a bunch of cars with it

For @bubblebaath; Surely your wonders will not be known in the darkness.
cc blog!
i'll put non mesh wips + finished cc links over here for easy searching. the polls for deciding on what to do with meshes will still be on here though (ill reblog them to that blog as well) the theme will have a link to the simfileshare root folders for each cc type when i get around to actually making something to put in them, for now theres just the chemical vat makeup one
