“Is there something I can do?” is like one of my favorite things Spike ever says in all of btvs. Because he’s soulless. He has no reason to want to do anything for anyone. But he sees Buffy upset and even though he came there to kill her all that matters to him is that she’s upset and he wants to make it better.
