  • i take payment in USD via venmo, Kofi, and paypal, (venmo and kofi preferred)
  • i take payment upfront or during the sketch phase! my turnaround should be anywhere from a week to 2 months depending on how many drawings i am working on at a time
  • like it says i am down to work out custom prices for things! I’m open to drawing in multiple art styles and compositions, if your idea doesn’t fit perfectly into “character on background” we can work out a price :)
  • complex designs will cost extra (but that’s the kind of thing i enjoy drawing the most 😋)
  • I reserve the right to cancel (with reimbursement) or put work on temporary hold. Clients can cancel or make large changes during the sketch phases only. Small changes throughout are fine

my 2026 prediction is that corto maltese will become the new hot thing which will snowball into a 2020s/2030s old european graphic novel revival into mainstream fandom and we will see en masse arguments about “is it ethical to ship tintin and haddock?” “can we forgive asterix and obelix for their racism?” “Is spirou an unbiased reporter?” naturally lucky luke will be shipped with corto maltese in an honestly pretty compelling crossover niche

anyone get the feeling there is something they NEED to do and it makes you not work on things you should, but that theing you need to do doesnt exist. like you are at your desk going "i cant draw or watch tv or work because theres something i need to do" but you dont need to do anything

fruit review #67: cacao

I want to say this is forastero cacao, but there is actually a lot of discourse around cacao cultivars. there are many subtypes and interbreeds. I will say that (as an unrefined cacao layman) they all taste the same to me.

the flesh of the fruit is a little sour and sweet, and very slimy. it tastes sort of passionfruity/citrusy, but the flavor is not super strong. you can suck the seed, gnaw off the flesh (it’s like a little sack around the seed) or just eat the whole thing with the seed included.

the cacao seed tastes like unsweetened chocolate, but with a grassy flavor and crunchy texture. I personally do not enjoy it since it is very bitter and slightly astringent. though i do prefer dark chocolate when it’s processed. When making chocolate the seed is separated from the flesh, the chocolate making process is very similar to making coffee (fermenting drying and roasting and grinding it) and chocolate actually has some caffeine and other stimulating chemicals in it!
