moonwater: you probably got bullied in middle school, and you think reading and drinking tea is a personality trait, but you're also super chill and i kinda wanna be your best friend.
quillkiller: you’re very cool and im also a little scared of you. i feel like you’re definitely capable of murder. but you seem like you'd put together the best outfits.
xenodora: im getting major loser stoner vibes but in a good way. you also probably got bullied in middle school but weren’t paying enough attention to notice.
padtail: i think there's something a little wrong with you, because you must have a pain kink if you can actually withstand the level of angst that comes with this ship. also i feel like you have a pattern of befriending/dating people who don't respect you...

walburga black hcs because i love her
- an oldest daughter with two little brothers (literally me) she was very protective and controlling of the two of them growing up, but they were her best friends.
- alphard was always a bit more rebellious and would get up to no good behind their parent's backs. if walburga found out she would tell on him because she thought she was doing the right thing to keep him out of trouble.
- when she was sorted, the hat considered placing her in gryffindor, but she begged it not to.
- she was very skilled at transfiguration, charms, anything with wand work in school. it was very intuitive to her.
- she was never all that smart, not that she was stupid by any means, but she didn't enjoy school, and she basically did the bare minimum to pass her classes/exams.
- she secretly loved watching quidditch, and would've played in another life. but it wasn't "lady-like," and her friends were the type of people to make fun of all the girls that played. (the slytherin team was entirely boys for this reason)
- if she had played, she would've been a beater
- she was betrothed to orion while he was still in school, but she begged her family to let them wait till he was graduated to get married. orion had always loved school, so she wanted to let him enjoy his last few years.
- her and orion never got particularly close, but they were respectful of one another, and they did love each other, just not romantically. after finishing at hogwarts, orion was busy building a career at the ministry, so he was fine with letting walburga do whatever she wanted really. they both just sort of coexisted.
- alphard straight up refused to get married. he was supposed to be the one to marry druella, but when the time came, he wouldn't do it, and the burden moved onto cygnus.
- the only reason he wasn't disowned and blasted off the tapestry then is because he struck up a deal with their parents that he'd never get married at all, this way he'd still be keeping the bloodline pure.
- walburga disagreed, she thought he should be disowned.
- she was angry because alphard had forced cygnus, who was barely a teenager at this point, into a weird child groom situation. cygnus had been willing to do it to save his older brother. he offered himself up. but walburga was still rightfully pissed, because alphard is the older one, and he's supposed to protect cygnus, not the other way around.
- she had been forced to marry their actual cousin and she did so with very little complaint because she knew it had to be done to keep the line pure. so she was upset and maybe jealous and also angry that alphard got out of his family duties with virtually no consequences.
- her and alphard's relationship completely fell apart after that, and they rarely spoke.
- walburga focused all her energy on helping cygnus. she put off having kids of her own to help him and druella raise their's, since they were still going to hogwarts, and she wasn't going to let either of them drop out.
- she absolutely loved those girls, so so much. she was meant to be a girl mom. she'd never had sisters, so helping to raise them felt like something clicked into place for her.
- bellatrix was secretly her favorite, because she could relate to the older sister struggles.
- the girls lived with her at grimmuald until cygnus graduated, and druella and cygnus would spend their school holidays there as well. this was walburga's favorite time in her life.
- bellatrix had what would one day become sirius's room, and andy had regulus's, but they'd both get scared at night and end up sleeping in walburga's room.
- cygnus had narcissa during his final year at hogwarts, and as soon as he was done with school, he and druella took the girls and moved into their own place. it sort of broke walburga's heart to let the girl's go, but she knew it was coming.
- bella had a really hard time leaving. she was like five or six at this point.
- this was when walburga decided she wanted kids of her own. it was a little weird though, because her and orion had never ever done anything. they were more like friends, or kinda just roommates. but orion wanted kids too, so they tried, and for eight entire years-- nothing.
- walburga had multiple miscarriages, which devastated her. they went to healer after healer but no one could help. it got to a point where orion was ready to give up, but not walburga. she kept trying literally everything from weird potions and herbs to enchanted amulets.
- and finally she got pregnant. she never figured out what it was that made it happen, but she didn't care. sirius was their miracle baby! the pregnancy almost killed her, but she made it, and she loved sirius so so much.
- that being said, she'd always wanted a girl, and she begged orion to try for one more. he was very against that idea, since it'd done so much damage to walburga's health the first time, but eventually he gave in.
- her second pregnancy was somehow even worse than the first, and she nearly died again. regulus was very premature.
- she still wanted to try for a third after that, but orion put his foot down.
- either way she loved getting to be a mother again, even to two boys. she felt like it was her calling.
- as sirius and regulus got older, they started reminding her more and more of alphard and cygnus. they were exactly like them, and it was weird for her. she sort of subconsciously tried to fix her relationship with alphard through sirius, meaning that she'd often lash out at him but then turn around and apologize.
- she was very harsh about family duty and keeping the bloodline pure, and she tried her absolute best to instill those values in her sons.
- when sirius was sorted into gryffindor she was weirdly jealous. it made her think too hard about what her life would've been like had she let the hat put her there.
- when andy left the family to marry ted walburga was so sad. and angry. she wished that she'd gotten to raise andy for longer, because maybe she could've prevented this. the day that andy left, bella came over to let walburga know, and both of them sobbed and held each other, then blasted andy off the tapestry.
- walburga was never physically abusive. she was strict, she could definitely be mean, and there were times where she got so angry she broke things, but she never ever hurt her sons.
- the only exception to this is the summer before sirius left, when sirius had basically stopped speaking to his younger brother. regulus broke down crying in front of her and explained what things were like at school-- how sirius and him didn't talk, and how he missed him. it broke walburga's heart so fucking much. later that day sirius was playing his music too loudly in his room, and walburga came in to tell him to shut it off, and they got into an argument. it wasn't actually about the music, obviously. she ended up smacking him across the face.
- when sirius did finally leave, it felt like losing alphard and andy all over again.
- her and orion never became death eaters, but they did support voldemort. walburga had actually never cared about politics at all up until this point, but orion was in the thick of it working at the ministry.
- she'd always had bigoted beliefs, growing up in the house of black and everything, but it was so far removed from her everyday life that she never actually cared. but when the first war was heating up, there was so much propaganda, and so many people she knew were joining the death eaters, she started to become a lot more outwardly prejudiced.
- it was also a way for her to take out her anger with sirius, andy, and alphard on something else. since all of them were bloodtraitors in her eyes.
- she'd lost so many people that she cared about at this point, and she blamed muggleborns for all of it.
- she was so proud of regulus when he took the mark, but she wasn't expecting it at all. she knew that some of his friends were joining up, but she just didn't think that he'd be interested in actually being a death eater.
- she attended a few death eater meetings, usually only when they were held at malfoy manor, and more just as a social event. she loved getting to see bella and narcissa, because that was really the only time she could. they were both busy with death eater business.
- when regulus went missing, she fucking lost it. she felt like she'd lost everything and everyone. both her sons, andy, alphard. she hardly got to see any of her remaining family anymore with the war going on, and even orion was always busy at work.
- then he died too! everyone fucking died and left!
- she went sort of went crazy with loneliness, since by now everyone was gone but bella and narcissa. the two of them would come visit her as often as they could, but it was difficult with the war. she loved getting to see draco.
- when the war was finally over and word of sirius's crimes got around, she was actually overjoyed. even though she knew she'd probably never see him again, she was happy to live the rest of her life knowing that her son chose the right side in the end.
- bella was also locked up after the war, and this one hurt walburga. she was having a much harder time coping with the fact that she'd never see bella again than she was with sirius. she was still proud of her though for fighting and giving up her life for the cause.
- for the remainder of her life, the only person walburga had left was narcissa. the two of them were never as close as she'd been with bella and andy, but they loved each other. narcissa made time to go visit her at least once a week with draco until her death.
