Wife of a predominant male character and mother of a protagonist

Gets minimal to no character focus/exploration

Majority of the fandom at best forgets about and/or ignores her, at worst villainizes her for decisions she made that were difficult for her or things she didn’t even do. Often mischaracterizing her completely!

Her relationship with her kid often gets shoved aside (by both their series & fandom) in favour of the child’s relationship with their dad. Even though the mom & child relationship is arguably a lot more stronger than the child & dad relationship 😒 but what do I know

In fics & art often gets replaced by another character to be shipped with their husband so he can have a “better/loyal” partner, even though her relationship with the husband is a lot more interesting and angsty to explore and speculate about.

*cough cough* Jotaro x Kakyoin *cough cough* Garmadon x Vinny or Koko or Clouse *cough cough*

And/or for the kid to have a “better” parent (again, even though the child clearly favours the mom. Just because the kid & the dad have more screen time together doesn’t mean they like him more!!)
