"sleepaway camp"= you go there for at least a few days, a week, sometimes several weeks, and sleep there, as opposed to a """camp""" where you go for the day and your parents or whoever picks you up afterward (those arent really camps, but like. idk when i went to "space camp" it was a weeklong but not sleepaway). in the U.S. at least, the typical image of a sleepaway camp involves staying in cabins, dunno how common it is/what it looks like in other countries.

for the first few i just mean like. not necessarily a stealth church camp, just like. idk, a camp where theres also an Assumption Of Christianity and just general vibes without being actually church camp. So, there might not be daily services and jesusy dedicatwd activities, but maybe theres still a prayer said over meals and shit. Which i assume might exist...

well, in any case its at least better than my other worry, "what if instead of bumblebees the color scheme comes off as piss and shit" so. yeah sure ill take it.

anyway thats ur upd8. but in fairness i did say the hell was endless so yall are currently on the part of hell where im just leaving you in antici

whatever color you choose for the backpack, make sure the lining is a light color or white. everyone lines bags with black, and it's impossible to find anything in the black hole that results.

oh no i was looking at Fucking Neon colors for the lining.

and okay ill probs delete later bc i feel like abandoning blog for a month then saying "hey help me choose fabric swatches" is weird at the very least but here is my Concept, except change the zippers from yellow to green bc i got green zippers and. yeah.

now, in order: the yellow is similar to what ill be going for when dyeing the webbing and shit (but maybe a lil less saturated and more "honey"?), the green is the zippers, the brown is the planned outside, and the neon bitches on the bottom are SOME OF the lining options.

i also have the option of getting some white fabric and dyeing it (its coated nylon packcloth, so not the EASIEST to dye but eh could also be worse) and if i went that route the insides would be less neon, similar to the test strip below, and also i would be tempted to make it 20 diff colors with mint and dandelion and lilac and creamsicle and aaaaaaa. so, choosing a solid color is obviously Easier.

anyway. this is what ive been doing instead of either Preparing or trying to find a fucking roommate or coming out to my mom. staring at fabric swatches and having an identity crisis.

ive also never sewn anything this complicated before and zippers can go fuck themselves so im also scares that i will Do This Badly.
