You really typed this out & hit post ? 💀

I feel so bad for this kid and her mom. Her mom has clearly realised something the kid still has yet to learn and just wants to protect her from body modification and permanent reliance on the medical industry.

This older woman has gone through something many women go through. She's fought through all the terrible things the world says about women and learned to love herself.

“Not all females menstruate!” -True, but only females menstruate

“Not all females have breasts and curves!” -True, but this body fat distribution is most common in females

“Not all females have XX chromosomes!” -True, but no female has a SRY gene.

“Not all females dress feminine, are nurturing, or want children!” -True, and they shouldn’t have to do any of those things

“Some females have penises!” -Wrong, that is a male-specific trait

Can't wish for a radfem band anymore because of woke 🙄

Radfem musicians are EXTREMELY rare. Even if there are some, they hide their beliefs cause of backlash. To act like they're destroying music festivals or the music industry is fucking delusional when there's so little of them. But y'all wouldn't say that to male musicians who have rape allegations going to music festivals, still going on tour, get awards, and all that stuff but whatevs.

Dear Young Women of Tumblr,

Never feel you must identify out of being female.

Never feel you must identify as non-binary, agender, gender-neutral, genderqueer, or any other option outside your natural sex. Even if:

  • You don’t “feel like a girl.”
  • You have little or no interest in sex or relationships with boys or girls.
  • You dislike makeup, feminine clothing, and “being girly.”
  • You are uncomfortable with your body.
  • You are uncomfortable with how others view your body.
  • You enjoy doing “boy” things and feeling powerful and in control.

All of these things are perfectly normal for a women to feel, and due to our highly gendered society can sometimes seem unbearable. I know. I have been there. But creative, intelligent, strong, kind, and fiercely unique and independent women have always existed - and you can, too, just as you are.

Harriet Tubman, Marie Curie, Frida Kahlo, Agatha Christie, Sally Ride, Rachel Maddow, Georgia O’Keefe, Abby Wambach, Amelia Earhart, Malala Yousafzai and so many others are here for you - however you want to express yourself, whoever you want to be.

It isn’t always easy, but it’s worth it. So worth it. Hang in there. <3

2015. Oh Andrea we are really in it now.

the fact that some in the trans community react to a full spread of information about the long term physical effects of HRT, including ones like pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain, risks of stroke and heart attack, or bone health, or the risks and realistic outcomes from surgeries, like nipple necrosis or nerve damage, by calling it "fearmongering", tells me you do not actually believe in informed consent.

"people might choose not to transition if you talk about this!" that is their right. it is their right to make choices about their body based on accurate medical information. it is their right to say no to medical treatment if they personally assess the risk to be higher than the imagined benefits. if you consider someone saying no to HRT or surgery because they do not want to lose bone density, or because they would like to breastfeed someday, or because they do not like the recovery timeline of the surgery- if you consider them saying "no" for those reasons to be a "loss" for the trans community, you care nothing for your own community. you care nothing for the person. you view them only as a number to be recruited, not an individual with rights.

I think women should be proud of their reproductive organs and their female body in general without being labelled a "terf".

liberals will scream “fuck gender roles” then call themselves non-binary for not conforming to them.

liberals be like “abolish gender” and then invent another one

liberals are like “stop gender stereotypes” and then go and define a woman based on feminity

a lot of TERFs sound a lot like trans/nonbinary people who have a hard time accepting themselves

The amount of TERFs I hear saying "womanhood is suffering" and "being mistaken for a boy was the best part of being a prepubescent girl" in essentially the same words that transmascs use. Yeeeah. It's probably the same root cause as folks who insist being gay is a choice and just don't realize that they themselves are bi and not every gay person is the same.

Like, it explains the phenomenon all too well - if you utterly hate being a woman, and every other woman in your social circle agrees, of course you're not going to believe that trans women are telling the truth, because no one wants to be a woman, so it must be an ulterior motive. And you're not going to believe trans men are telling the truth either, because you can't just be AFAB and decide you'd rather be a man and take hormones and wear men's clothing and change your legal gender, if you could do that, then we'd have no women left, because womanhood sucks and no one likes it, obviously.

When radfems say "womanhood is suffering" we don't mean we want to be men. We are pointing out the systematic oppression women have to deal with sucks. Instead of sympathizing with us, and agreeing patriarchy and gender roles are harmful and we should work together to dismantle it, your first thought is to say "just become a man!"

None of you want to abolish gender roles. You just want to repackage them.

Hate being cat-called? Just be a man! Hate being sexualised? Just be a man! Hate performing femininity? Just be a man! That's literally your solution to everything. Cut your breasts off and take hormones! That'll make everything SO much better! For you I mean, lol society will still treat women like shit, over-sexualise female bodies, sell them insecurities so they can profit from them, see women as lesser than and breeding stock,, but hey you won't be seen as a woman anymore so you'll be free! Ta-da!! Problem solved.

Can you imagine if you used this logic for any other oppressed group? If you're POC and don't want to experience racism, just paint yourself white! That'll totally fix all your problems. Oh, you want to be black and not experience racism? You must be closeted, silly. Racism isn't real. White people who paint themself black are oppressed too. If you say otherwise you're a hateful bigot and should be killed!!!

That's what trans logic sounds like to us.

We don't want to be male. We want to live in a world where women are free, without patriarchy and gender roles being shoved down our throats. Like yeah, being a woman sucks because society treats women like dogshit. The solution isn't to cosplay a man to escape it. We need to fix the root cause or it will never change.

there are really people out there who think being a „terf“ woman is worse and a bigger problem than a man consuming violent porn or going to brothels LOL

You never say "let's rape and torture pedophiles" you never see "let's use rapists to breed" you never see that. All you see is these sentiments thrown at "terfs", otherwise known as, "women whose opinions differ from ours" to the gender crowd. They have no compassion, all they do is virtue signal.

Pride is for centering same sex relationships and same sex attraction specifically. It's the love women and men have for the same sex exclusively. Pride was brought to you by a poc butch lesbian

Pride is not celebrating your borderline illegal kinks, or how many people you sleep with, or how many people you're in a relationship with. Pride should not be inclusive of everyone under the sun because then, who are we fighting for, who are we trying to liberate? We're so far removed from what pride was originally for that its extended to include straight men who want to get to know a woman with no strings attached. His low romantic drive is now considered 'queer'. He is on the same level of oppression as same sex attracted individuals

If everyone is included we might as well reform the entire human race...
