she/her. 26. french. trying my best

can’t wait to see tyler and josh’s borderline homoerotic relationship portrayed on the big screen!

what? oh sweetheart no, you're not weirding me out at all. you're weirding me in. keep talking, freak

great. i was hoping my childhood would follow me forever and attach itself to my psyche and spread like mold. This is good

Still not over the fact that my grandma told me: “à défaut d’avoir un ami I, tu as une amie E.”

Which basically translates to: “Well, you don’t have a boy friend, but at least you have a girl friend.”

BUT. In old-timey French, “un ami” can mean life partner before marriage.

So now I’m like:

– Did my grandma just casually clock me as gay??

– Or did she just mean “well sike, you don’t have a boyfriend, but at least you have girl friends, so it’s fine.”

And like… she said this about my best friend who’s stayed at my parents’ house a few times, traveled across France to visit, etc.

We’re just friends?? ¿¿

Grandma. Please. What are you trying to say

Okay I don't know what my grandma think is happening in my life but... At Christmas she literally told me "You have to tell us when you get married anyway." (Not a perfect translation but you get the gist of it)

And I just don't know what she means ???? Like my mom stared at me confused and I was like "I don't get it either" and I told her that of course she'll be invited to my wedding... IF I EVER FIND SOMEONE LIKE 😭 sorry my single ass can't even get a date grandma!

I swear she needs to stop sayin random stuff I'm sweating
