Croozin' for a Broozin'

@chonny-jash

The official (no, seriously) Chonny Jash account. Not a lot going on around these parts. It's a whole lotta broozin' and not alotta musin', but you can expect the OCCASIONAL hint or extra tidbit, when the wind is fair and the stars are aligned. Check out the pinned post for my most recent song at any given time. Or, alternatively, hang around for some nonsensical bullshit!

Continuing my Previously-Unplayed Zelda series playthrough (Wind Waker was awesome btw), I wanna say how cool it is that as far as I remember, you don't hear Zelda's Lullaby a single time in Skyward Sword until right when it's revealed that Zelda is Hylia reborn as a mortal. Especially seeing as Ballad of the Goddess is Zelda's Lullaby reversed, it acts as some really sick musical foreshadowing, as if the Goddess really has been there the whole time, and that she and Zelda have always been deeply intertwined.

I'm aware this is likely just a matter of the composer picking the perfect time to bring a classic melody back so that it resonates with fans, but my point still stands.

I like to imagine the hyrule royal family breathes a sigh of relief every time a child is born that has no resemblance to ancient legends or goddesses, and then when they get one a little too uncanny they just go "fucking dammit we got another Zelda. Pack it up lads we're fucked."

King talking to an attendant like "yeah nah legit blonde hair and all. hanging out with that green kid. started playing music at like 2 years old we're so fucked. anyway this big gerudo bloke is here to meet with me. sure this will be just fuckin grand. NOT NOW IMPA I'M BUSY"

Damn the postie took this one out to some vast seas. (Hit tweet.)

Go listen to Majoris Melodia on your Tingle Tuner today! Or don't. I never did bother to learn the command melody.

Been finally playing the few mainline Zeldas I've missed in my free time recently, and I'm just saying right the fuck now that the Earth Temple from Wind Waker is the alternate timeline version of Stone Tower Temple from Majora's Mask.

- Stone/Earth

- Ancient and lost to time

- Only place where Stalfos' are a prominent feature

- Only place where ReDeads are a prominent feature (only place AT ALL in MM)

- Location of the Mirror Shield, plus related light-reflection puzzles

- Big Weird Face in the first room relevant to a puzzle

- Sun Dials that require light to be shone on them, resulting in a smiling sun face

- Earth Temple sinks deep into the ground in a tower shape, like Stone Tower - but invERTED

- Puzzles that involve using Fire Arrows to burn Red Curtains with Skulls on them to let Light into the room

- Final Boss of Earth Temple is a massive Poe, an enemy found primarily in Ikana in MM

- It would be cool and I want it to be

This is just a thought but I would like to add that majoras mask is in the child timeline and would take place immediately after the events of OOT, while wind waker is in the adult timeline where link beat ganon but is no longer present and takes place most likely hundreds of years after the events of OOT. This would explain the difference in name like it being translated differently/wrong after all that time. Plus with link no longer present in the adult timeline nobody would have been there to complete said puzzles and collect said items leaving them there to be found in wind waker.

all very huge ideas

!!! IMPORTANT NEWS REGARDING THE IMMEDIATE FUTURE !!!

Hey all! Just wanted to let everyone know I'm back at work and on the grind for my next project. Gonna drop what little info I can regarding that, but as usual, I'll be keeping most of it under wraps.

1. I know what's coming next! I've got a very specific vision in mind.

2. It's not new TH/HMS/CCCC content, nor is it directly related to any project I've done before.

3. It's a fuckin doozy. So much so that I frankly have no idea how long it's gonna take me. There are more moving parts than usual, and while it's not some gigantic, huge-scale undertaking, there are a lot of new things for me to learn and fine-tune. I'm an absolute livewire at the best of times but even for me this is kind of special. So, no deadlines and no hints regarding said non-existent deadline. It's done when it's done.

If it takes ages, I might whip up a special treat to tide people over in between, but this is gonna be my main focus. Trust that I'm working hard, quietly, and that it'll be worth it in the end.

4. In the meantime, check the back-catalogue! It's kind of shocking to me how much shit I've made in the past couple years, and even more so that the train isn't slowing down. Remember the Power Hours? Remember Gothic Whore? Remember Louis Burdett?! Remember K. K. Crushin'?!?!?!?! Holy smokes brother. I can't believe you guys gave me enough traction to go flying as fast as I am - thank you all for your support and listenership!!!

Anyway, that's all!

Stay cool, stay groovy. Stay Funky!

shoutout to undertale for single-handedly injecting the word "motif" into internet vernacular

Some fun ramblings re; 'Larva Irae Incarnatum' and 'Mask of Wrath Incarnate'

(Someone asked whether they counted as one total song, as I had teased in the past that the song would have 12 songs like a clock.

Note: Setting Sorrow // Rising Resolve are considered one song.)
