Tempest Morgan and Admiral Piston are a funny ass duo to me.
I like the fact that Morgan isn't afraid to stoop so low to get what she wants. She knows that Navybots love Admiral Piston and would do anything in his image. She knows that to grow her numbers, she needs him on her team. She's confident in her ability to sway anyone if all the pirate gangs she's united proves anything.
But Admiral Piston is stupid and egotistical. He would not do anything that may tarnish his looks, he's oblivious to Morgan's attempts at manipulation and kissing ass. To him, she's just another bot fawning at his feet. To him, she's just another bot looking for any excuse to be near him.
Morgan is so polite and formal until Dr. Bunsen interrupts. It would have worked, she would've been able to get under his plating had she not been interrupted. She's confident in this.
Anyway, nobody cares. They're just really funny. The shenanigans potential is crazy

Sooo do Steamworld robots eat?
From what I extrapolated from Heist 1+2 they just drunk oil/water for fun and whimsy but then in Build they have those cows and borgars and in Quest they talk about eating allll the time
I disregard Quest bc its technically a fantasy story so I take any worldbuilding as an internal thing. But build is real, they have robot cows
My personal probably wrong hc is that it was a status thing if you could afford to go to the robot borgar joint/fine dining it meant you were rich enough to 'pretend' and 'waste' valuable resources doing so but they don't actually eat anything,,, in Heist 1 I'm pretty sure I remember the Diselbots also having food and banquets and the steambots very much not,,,
I think your headcanon's probably closest to the truth, we know that Quest is Real due to Heist 2's ending but a lore video mentions it was fuckoff early in the world's timeline, which I would at least *personally* consider "too early to matter to modern Steambot anatomy or be indicative of modern Steambot culture."
Heist 1 also has a description for I think a burger that mentions Steambots not really understanding what eating is compared to Shiners, so I'm definitely banking on eating being a purely cultural thing. Not really sure what goes on with the cows though, especially since Sally also talks about Steam Cows all the time.

As a note about Steamcember: I AM participating because I am not missing this shit BOTH TIMES IT'S COME AROUND and being severely ill during exam season simply isn't as bad as my grandma dying. However I *will* be starting late and simply getting all the days done when I get around to them.

I feel like Armilly's Partner/Ace would probably be a (shiny) Charcadet that evolves into Armarouge just because that's Literally Her
Including in terms of the Pokemon's personalities. Really the only exception would be Armarouge being a special attacker rather than physical but also I've been calling this thing "The Armilly Pokemon" since it was revealed. Maybe she also went and found a Charcadet herself because Gilgamech had a Ceruledge? I dunno.
This isn't to say I don't think she had a Honedge. I can imagine her obtaining a Honedge perfectly

Tristan and Cornelius have that kind of old basset hound and small 5 sneezes old kitten thing going on. Tristan wants to learn everything and anything from Cornelius but he just wants to be alone and ruminate in peace. Until Tristan gets caught/in danger one day and Cornelius promptly decides that he would sacrifice his life for this Child actually,
Daisy and Sola are besties with Daisy helping Sola experience as much of the surface world as possible they're always on some stupid side quest compared to everyone else. Sola isn't opposed to doing 'girly' things so apart from Quincy she's the only one who will come with Daisy.
Wesley and Barbara have their pre-established rivalry but I can see them becoming very tight knit friends post-game kind of enabling their respective motivations but also keeping eachother from going too far and dying gloriously (Wesley) or isolating and forgetting what is really important (Barbara)
