Hi!!! This is a blog to share any opinions, views, etc about City Spies!

Ground Rules:

  • Don't be rude. Highly doubt anyone will be in such a small fandom but just in case.
  • Please don't put slurs in your confessions! Even if you can say that slur don't do it, just for the comfort of everyone.
  • If you want me to share my opinion, please say so directly. I have a hard time understanding indirect instructions so please keep that in mind.
  • You don't have to use anon if you're comfortable having your account attached to your confession, just double check.
  • Keep in mind this blog is run by one person who doesn't know almost half of all the features of Tumblr yet.

Interest Check!

Hi! I've thrown this idea around a few times, but this time we're doing it for real. mostly because I (@needlesandnilbogs ) got three total other people to be invested with me. If you're curious, follow this blog for announcements and updates about this!

I'd like to run a city spies fic/art exchange this summer, with signups opening in the next few weeks, closing in mid-may after my finals, and the creation period going till sometime in late july. Some more information about how this works is here, from the last time I proposed this; if you're not familiar with fandom exchanges, please check to see if I answered your question there first!

This post is a non-binding interest check and a place to solicit some general opinions before I make any decisions unilaterally.

First of all, interest check!

If you are interested, please reply to this post (OUTSIDE THE TUMBLR COMMUNITY COMMENTS) or reblog it with any answers to the following optional questions:

  • what sort of loose guidelines would we want across the board (art, y/n? given average fan age probably no nsfw/smut?)
  • my impulse is a word count minimum of 1k and a loose maximum of 5-8k, like this should not be an epic here; for art we'd be talking more like a clean sketch on an unlined background as the minimum, there's no "maximum" for art in the same way. Minimums are basically "you have to put a little effort in" and maximums are "don't make all the other participants jealous by outdoing everyone who wrote a nice little 2k fic"
  • how long would you like the creation period to be? it's most likely to generally be between a month and 6-8 weeks (there'll be a week or two between the deadline and reveals just to make sure there's time for people who are pinch-hitting to finish up, so extensions are a possibility, but obviously it'd be nice to have the deadline be on the firmer side)

headcanon: I feel like one of the ways kat and rio bonded is that they heard about the Pizza Hut in China with a fruits and veggies buffet story (basically to cut down on costs Pizza Hut made it so the customers could only take one plate but then, the Chinese people outsmarted them by making giant towers of vegetables and fruit and using math equations to make them as steady as they could. it was funny as hell and everyone liked that) and loved it and thought it was really funny, and sometimes when one of them is mad, the other comes into their room and starts talking about the story again to cheer them up!! because cute silly found family moment

I keep on putting off drawing Mother (I fear my main main silly guy is taking up 95% of my art power 😔) but that is so real.
