From Al Jazeera (15 Feb 2024)
Nothing is more devastating than this. The UN World Food Program has officially suspended aid delivery to northern Gaza, citing violence and lack of safety as major reasons the aid trucks aren’t getting through. Israeli officers are liberally shooting at Palestinians who try to approach the trucks in hopes of getting even the smallest morsels of food, despite the fact that Israel has allowed only one crossing for the already woefully low numbers of aid they’re permitting entry. Reportedly this number has fallen from 140 a day in January to just 60 a day this month, and now 16% of all Gazan children under 2 are “acutely malnourished.” Meanwhile, the US vetoes a call for a ceasefire for the third fucking time. It’s so inhumane in its cruelty it’s actually shocking to see it being allowed to go on and on, and on an international level no less.

At this point, it's absurd to call Hamas anything but a resistance group that fights fair. We have seen thousands of videos and images of the idf killing, mocking, torturing and abusing Palestinian men, women and children in the most creative of ways. I have yet to see that from Hamas. Whoever condemns Hamas also condemns their right to self defence.
Hamas are made up mostly of orphans, orphaned by the hands of the idf. These people have every right to be angry, to resist living in an open air prison and being persecuted every day while the world sides with their oppressors. You'd be lying if you said you wouldn't be too, and yet they are not the ones indiscriminately killing civilians.
I'm tired of hearing 'I don't condone it but I can't blame them'. Stop beating around the bush and admit that you too would take up arms to defend yourself and your loved ones in the face of a brutal and unending occupation. Being passive doesn't bring about peace, it only allows ease in your destruction. Their rights, which were and have been taken by force for almost 80 years, can only be returned by force. That's a right none of us should speak against unless we're willingly giving up that right for ourselves.
*~~"sorry but this genocide is notttt unprecedented"~~*
We fucking know? What are you trying to achieve by saying this?
Honestly some of you lack some basic fucking courtesy in times of absolute horror.
We are scrolling between a video of one Palestinian father asking his dead son to take his favourite biscuit with him to heaven and then to another Palestinian father wanting to put socks on his dead son's feet because it's cold within minutes of each other!
The genocide in Gaza is being documented in real time and we have immediate access to hundreds of footage and testimonies every hour of every day right on our screens.
When I say we have never seen anything like this, it is a point about the unprecedented level of information we have access to when it comes to both the damage done and the overt intent of the perpetrators.
