🚨 Important PSA to the Tumblr Art community @staff
User "IndividualGuidde" just scammed me out of $900. They pretended to be from McGill University and wanted to buy two of my images from an art project. I am also from Canada. They sent me art collaboration forms and everything to sign as well. It all seemed very legit.
We agreed on $150 for the pictures. The form was signed. The trust was built. They even sent pictures from their studio. They said their client was sending them $900 for the whole project. They sent a $900 check to me. I was told to send them the $750, since only 150 of that 900 was mine (the amount we agreed on for my pictures). I should have known it was a scam at this point. I feel embarrassed for believing then. And a couple of days later, the cheque they sent got corrected and I lost all that money. So not only did I send them $750, the $900 cheque also got removed.
I am sharing so you guys don't fall for it as well. I have added their URL as the source for this post. I am blocked therefore I can't tag this user. Block and report them.
