like it or not everything is political, we've still got to live
"I want to say to everyone who has mercy in his heart, take action for Farah. What are you waiting for? She is an innocent child who does not speak, but her tears are more honest than all words."

This is what Wesal, Farah's mother, told me to tell you all about her fifteen-year-old daughter Farah, a fifteen-year-old autistic girl with chronic kidney failure.

Her kidneys leak potassium, for which she hasn't been properly medicated for over a year. Farah needs to take two pils 3x/day, but because her parents cannot afford to buy more, her mother can only give her one per day now.

The longer this goes on, the worse Farah's health will get, until her heart gives out. Cardiac arrest is a very possible and extremely serious complication of severe potassium deficiency, which is what Farah is suffering from now.

So you can understand how scared Wesal is that she will lose her daughter.

Farah needs our help!

Please, if you are able, even if it's just a little, donate to the fundraiser I created for Farah here or via Paypal here. We have only raised €15 and €96 respectively, which is only half of what is needed to buy a month's worth of medication for Farah.

For verification, please see here. They are vetted by association, as is explained in the link. We are working on getting them vetted by gazavetters, but as you probably all know, this takes time.

[EDIT/ Fantastic news, this campaign is now verified by gazavetters! You will find it as #451 on their spreadsheet. Thank you so much!!!]

Thank you so much for donating if you are able, and/or for sharing this post!

tagging for reach, please share, thank you <3 (let me know if you don't want me to tag you anymore, apologies for any multiple tags)

critically stagnant spotlight campaigns for today (1/21.)

this list comprises the majority of my active gaza funds spotlight campaigns. i am actively spotlighting 16 campaigns. nine of them are critically stagnant, and three more are in danger of becoming critically stagnant.

unfortunately, not a single campaign received anything for two days in a row! please help in whatever way you can. if you can't donate, please share.

campaigns in danger of becoming critically stagnant:

all campaigns are vetted by the organizers of gaza funds. this site has been vouched for by palestinian bloggers. for full transparency, a list of campaigns is available to view on their site.

individual posts for these campaigns are generally ignored. i suspect they’re just background noise for most people at this point. please don’t ignore this, you have the opportunity to throw someone a lifeline and do some real good. even if you don’t have any money, a reblog is free and can help get more eyes on these campaigns. none of them are on tumblr, to my knowledge. nobody sees these campaigns unless people reblog posts about them or make their own posts.

these families cannot afford to wait! are they not worthy of support because they are not personally begging you for it? please do something! even if you don't think you can give anything, you have a platform, so use it!

thank you in advance for your consideration.

tags for reach under the cut (you can always let me know if you'd rather not be on this list, or if you want to be added to the list!)

I am Dr. Rami Al-Daour. Ali Al-Mansi, a friend of the patient, asked me to speak today about Ibrahim Abu Rukhiya. Ibrahim regained consciousness from a coma caused by severe depression he had previously suffered from. This depression had caused complications that prevented him from eating and carrying out his daily activities.

Ibrahim is a kind and patient person, thank God he has passed the critical stage after falling into a coma. Thank God he has regained consciousness. Some samples were taken from him and tests were conducted to ensure his well-being. If you love the Palestinians of Gaza, share Ibrahim's story on social media so we can fight and combat his severe depression. What made me love Ibrahim is that he takes care of his elderly parents and hasn't left them while he's in the hospital. His mother told me that Ibrahim means everything to her.

Ibrahim is still unable to participate on social media as he recovers from his illness and the stage it has reached.

Roy's prose is fire. It melts down the big lie covering so much inequality: that some people just don’t have voices to be heard. This quote is for anyone here who’s been talked over, sidelined, or punished for speaking their truth...or telling any truth at all.

Also: don't forget to laugh with your voice along the way! 💗

I don’t know if you know, but 11 children have died from the extreme cold in Gaza.

Please don’t scroll past this. Donate or share this could save my siblings’ lives.

Donate if you can, share if you will not!

I want Bruce to be so tired or so annoyed that he just snaps one day with rogues while he’s in his civies, that he simply forgets to give a fuck and he’s overstimulated by the day’s events and all the stress he’s under and he just launches at the rogue doing the terrorizing. And I so, so, so, want it to be Deathstroke. Like I just picture Bruce dropping the kids to school and he’s weighed down by briefcase, backpack, coffee, travel mug etc and Deathstroke shows up to elimate him or one of the kids. Bruce is just done. Tim and Duke were fighting this morning, the Joker just broke out of Arkham, Alfred read him the riot act about snubbing some award show, Damian had a meltdown, Dick is in his 20s and couldn’t find his shoes, Cass is off on some mission he didn’t authorise, Steph choked out a rogue the other night, the Commissioner yelled at him, Selina hasn’t text him back, that one guy he hates at work is doing a presentation about, Jason got injured on patrol last night and they had an argument over it because Bruce apparently embarrased him in front of his minions.

To say he curb stomps Deathstroke is an understatement. The man’s limbs are twisted like a pretzel. He has the body consistency of ground beef. There are literally cracks in the pavement where Deathstroke’s skull was dribbled like a basketball. There is no underhanded move Bruce doesn’t pull, gouging, biting, scratching, weapons, at one point he’s just slapping the fuck out of Deathstroke his hands were meant for this moment and eventually another Bat shows up in costume to essentially rescue Deathstroke and wrangle Bruce while the GCPD show up to secure the scene and the ambulance to take Deathstroke to the intensive care unit. Bruce tries to hand himself in for assault because he’s a civilian and he’s literally just tried to murder a guy but the Commissioner literally won’t hear it because “Deathstroke shouldn’t have been this close to a school anyway”. Harvey Dent, former ADA and current crime lord for justice, volunteers to defend Bruce Wayne in court because Gothamites have the given right to defend their kids from “creeps like that asshat”.

Guys, in addition to the harsh life left by the war, today the situation becomes even more severe due to heavy rains. Children are literally crying under the rain tonight in Gaza. Their tents have collapsed, their blankets are soaked, and they have nowhere to run as storms hit the camps.💔🌧️

Entire families woke up to find their tents flooded and their few belongings drenched in cold water. More than half a million displaced families are living like this, with no roof, no tools to repair torn tents, and nothing dry to sleep on.

My family is one of them.

We lost our home completely, and the rain tonight means cold, sickness, and fear. Giving up just the cost of a cup of tea once could help us get dry blankets, food, medicine, even clean water.

Please show your humanity.

📌 Fundraiser vetted (#167 by el-shab-hussein & nabulsi)

We are now less than $20 away from reaching our first $1,000 goal. 💛

I don’t even have the right words to express how much your support has meant to us. Every donation, every share, every message of kindness has reminded us that we are not facing this crisis alone.

Sudan is going through unimaginable pain, and yet your generosity has brought a small light into a very dark time.

If you are able to help no matter the amount your contribution will truly make a difference. It’s not just a donation; it’s hope, it’s relief, and it’s a reminder that humanity is still alive.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to everyone who has stood with us. Please continue supporting and sharing our campaign. Your love and compassion mean more than you’ll ever know. 🙏✨

captured from an ambulance. captured. from an ambulance. do not stop speaking about palestine please

This is the sacred texts, this is the holy grail.

the solution to the systematic (and purposeful) destruction of the environment is not simply “no one ever touches nature again because humans are not a part of nature and should leave it alone” lmao. colonialism has destroyed the environment in ways which are targeted specifically toward indigenous people first, as well as impoverished communities who suffer the negative affects of environmental damage first. the response is not the self-deprecating and humanity-as-conglomerate attitude taken on by everyone from vegans to leftists to apolitical worriers… a solution is not to point and cry and say “think how much better animals would be without us!” because not only is human life as valuable and something you should be concerned over, not only should you think critically about the ways in which you define that “us” clause, you should also remember the human species is part of the ecosystem

📌Urgent Update – Escalation in Gaza & Increased Need for Support 🚨

Vetted by: @90-ghost here

In recent days, we have witnessed a dangerous escalation, with renewed bombings and stricter restrictions. The border crossing has been closed, preventing the entry of much-needed humanitarian aid. 😞💔

With essential supplies running low, prices have skyrocketed, making it even harder for families like mine to secure basic necessities. We are facing incredibly harsh conditions and holding on to any hope we can find, but we urgently need your support to survive these difficult times. 🥹🥹💔

If you can help in any way—through a donation or by sharing our campaign with others—it would mean the world to us. Your support has been a lifeline, and I cannot express how grateful we are for your kindness.❤️‍🩹🙏🏻
