Never let your enemy tell you how many of you there are. Never let the man that you’re against form your opinions. This is the trick that’s played on everyone who’s oppressed: when you have a revolution in a country, the first thing you take over is the radio. Then, you start telling the people that the war is over, so all of them surrender. They believe that thing right there. And once they take that over, they start telling you where you are and where they are, and you fall right in line — it’s plain thought control. The majority of the American people aren’t segregationists. The majority of the American people aren’t imperialists. But the government is. The structure is; the power faction is. So, how, then, do all the majority go along with it? Because those who sit in power over the television, over the radio, and over the press are constantly telling those who are the masses how free they are, how this they are, and how that they are.”

Perc'ahlia Week 2025 Wrap-Up

And with that, our third year of Perc'ahlia Week comes to a close! Thank you so much to everyone who participated, whether that was through direct contributions, or through anyone who interacted with and reblogged someone else's content. Without you all, there would be no event for us to host, so pat yourselves on the back!! You did an amazing job. We absolutely adored getting to see everyone's different interpretations of our prompts! With campaign 4 having just begun, and the animated shows for Vox Machina and The Mighty Nein both rapidly approaching, it's been such a joy to get some of the momentum rolling on more fan creations within the wider Critical Role fandom.

I also want to shout out all of my fellow mods!! We have a wonderful team of @blorbologist, who kept us on schedule and actually made sure this event happened in the first place; @burr-ell, who was on the clock checking for submissions and posts like no one else; and @crithaus, our local Vex Nation President who was always stepping in to catch us when something fell through. And also me! I'm not allowed to downplay what I did or the other mods will Get Me - and I genuinely enjoyed everything I did to help keep this thing going. I love those moodboards guys, you don't understand.

Even though the week is over, that doesn't mean you can't submit any more prompts! Anything is welcome, whether it's something you didn't get finished on time, or an update/adendum to something previously submitted. We'll all be checking the tags, our mentions, and the AO3 collection (which you should totally check out!!) to make sure no one's pieces get missed. Heck, you can submit things from the previous years if you want! It's never too late to share some content for these silly D&D characters who we all love so much.

Again, a massive, massive thank you to everyone who participated or followed us along for the ride. Feel free to join our Discord Server if you want to keep chatting about all things Perc'ahlia and Critical Role, we've got an awesome little community sharing thoughts and content year 'round.

And, as always - is it Thursday yet?

The wait is almost over — Perc’ahlia Week 2025 starts tomorrow, September 29th with our first prompt, Yours / Later! If you’re scrambling to finish something up last minute, you’re not alone - feel free to check out our day 1 moodboard post here for some inspo.

Remember to tag your creations with #percahliaweek, or to tag us directly @percahliaweek and we’ll reblog it! You can also submit it directly to the blog if you prefer. We’re all so incredibly excited to see what everyone’s made!!

me when i spend a long time drawing something that really does not look good at all and is honestly too ugly to want to share with anybody but i still recognize that it was worth the time and effort because i still gained practice and experience from it that will contribute toward improving my skills
