mike wheeler is possibly the worst character ever written. maybe i'm being dramatic because the wound is still fresh but... are we serious. you're telling me there was no reason for him to not hug will at the airport. there was no reason for him to say "it's not my fault you don't like girls." there was no reason for them to go crazy together. there was no reason for the one-way sign. there was no reason for "The First I love You" to play during the mileven kiss in season 3. there was no reason for him to look at will's lips all the time. there was no reason for ANY OF IT. HIS ONLY CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT? MEET EL, LOVE EL, LOSE EL, MISS EL, FIND EL, LOVE EL, DON'T TELL EL YOU LOVE HER, MAKE UP **OFF-SCREEN DURING A TIMESKIP**, LOSE EL AGAIN, MISS EL AGAIN. THE ONLY TRAUMA THEY COULD SHOW FOR MIKE DURING THE VECNA DEATH SCENE WAS LOSING EL IN SEASON ONE. SEASON ONEEEEEEEE (1). absolutely nothing has happened to mike and they decided that his perfect conclusion was to become a recluse author who grieves his dead girlfriend while his friends go on to a better life. and of course, let's give will an epilogue boyfriend to soothe the pain of assault and years of unrequited love. jesus christ.
