one thing I think about is that Spamton is not necessarily a scam. He is not SCAMton, he’s SPAMton. Some spam emails are scams, yes. But the Spam folder on your email gets a lot more than just scams. In addition to scams, the Spam folder is full of emails that are legit advertisements from legit companies, or even a few emails that you might actually want to see. The important thing here is that all of what the Spam folder holds are messages interpreted by your email software as something that is just clutter in your inbox and not worth seeing. That is the role that Spamton was born to play–not necessarily a scam, but something not worth seeing, something that is so worthless that it should be automatically ignored. (But he is, of course, also still trying to sell you something.)
