if v!shelby (early episodes at least) had known the effect that scott was having on pyro, like his 'sire is always listening' spiral, would she have tried to reach out and help? would she have considered confronting scott or would she hold her tongue ?
this is such a good question to answer while i'm avoiding confronting the fact that i lost to pyro in the sexy man poll.. anyway, it's something i wish i picked up on at the time, that pyro was trying to confide in me his genuine fear of scott and the consequences of crossing him. but i did not have a worry in the world about scott hurting *me* and didn't take seriously any worries pyro had about scott. but pyro had a very different relationship to scott than anybody else and i simply wasn't listening. and if i had noticed, i probably would have been dismissive because it didn't fit in my fantasy family narrative :/

I relapsed (started thinking about that evil vampire again)
this is a substanceless post i just wanted to yap again because look listen i ddo understand scott goldsmith hate i do i really do but i am not immune to goldsmith charm im quite weak to it actually and i still find it so fun that while avid's death was something of a catalyst the thing that actually made him change was he made friends. he was friends with shelby he likes shelby quite a bit and they used the power of friendship on The Devil From The Bible because they realistically just couldnt kill the man
