Damn. Lots to unpack. Especially with that fight(?) between Arthur and John where Yellow was mentioned… I think @doodlebuglet3447 and I both related to a lot of shit that was said so we might lowkey relisten to it. Glad to have gotten SOME closure on Yellow in Arthur realizing where he fucked up.

What else…?

It was kind of nice, after all the human interaction, seeing JUST Arthur and John again. Seems like we’ll get more of that, but I’ll miss Oscar. They wasted so much time just after opening that portal oh my GOD. It was really like, *plot intensifies* “hol” on let me set the scene rq” *plot intensifies*

I don’t think Scatch is evil. Chaotic neutral, most likely. Ik when he was first encountered, Doodle thought he was actually trying to help Arthur overcome his past trauma. This, ofc, wasn’t the case, but he and John are probably hella similar and tbh I would’ve loved to see him actually change for the better and help Arthur.

Also between the blurb saying “a torn friendship” and John tryna convince Arthur to leave Oscar the stone, I was so scared Arthur was gonna leave it and Oscar was gonna wake up and hate him.

OH C’MON NOT A CLIFFHANGER

I’m kinda loving the dynamic of John being able to talk to Arthur but Arthur not being able to talk to John unless he’s away from Oscar. The way he reassured him by making it seem like he was talking to Oscar was really cute though.

I think we all knew smth bad was gonna happen the moment Oscar was like, “I hear smth,” and Arthur was like, “Hold on lel.” First off, WHY would you open the stove you know your dealing with otherworldly crap secondly, WHY would you not take two seconds to tell him not to open the stove you’ve dealt with this otherworldly crap.

Uhm Oscar heard Arthur yell John’s name soooooo I feel like that’s gonna lead to smth

Part 36 down. Yeah it’s been a month a lot’s been going on

A lot of little things in this part. Kid who doesn’t fit in and is driven out and left to rot feels way too relevant.

I feel like John is bothered by the fact that Arthur doesn’t trust him. Also by himself for not being trustworthy with the whole, “I didn’t see them. I didn’t see them, Arthur. I swear I didn’t see them.” Poor guy. I do feel like he needs to come clean and tell Arthur wtf is wrong bc he probably knows.

The sudden, “It looks like you’ve hit bedrock, friend,” and Oscar’s reaction… It took me a moment to realize that that’s what Parker had told Arthur and when I did, oh my GOD. That whole scene was a hell of an emotional one.

@doodlebuglet3447 keeps poking at this podcast for its “bad character development” and weird plotholes, and yes it’s really frustrating that John’s arm only seems to see use every like, five episodes but I think all the emotional shit makes up for it.

Glad everyone’s alright

Tbh Arthur and John were both getting on my nerves… Arthur moreso at the beginning with his constant jumping into things and writing John off— just like old times— but he was in emotional turmoil so ig I can cut him some slack.

John with his constant yelling like stfu bro let Arthur cook. Obviously there’s smth up with him; maybe HE needs to trust Arthur instead of yelling at him not to trust everyone else.

Also the way Oscar saves Daniel and then just stands there as the Butcher tries to kill him again

The most often told lie is “I’m fine.” Not sure if that’s actually true but I heard it somewhere

i still miss Yellow :(

Part 34 down

I knew it was The Butcher but I thought it was another flashback at first; it took me a moment to realize it was literally the scene the last part ended on. Ik I’m like, speechless after every single part but like, god damn!

It was kinda surreal hearing Arthurs voice but like, not as the main one. I can almost hear John screaming at him the whole time.

Also I hope Daniel survives 🤞

Oh… my GOD!?

I wasn’t expecting it to end there. 10 bucks Arthur almost dies again in the next episode

Also, rip Daniel 😔 It’s tragic because Arthur LED him there
