I love making ideas for my favorite movies, video games, TV shows, anime, you get the picture. I might not be able to update a lot on this website, but I don't think most of you will mind, at least I hope you won't

Inktober 2025 — Day 12 — Shredded

I’m really happy with what I did with the circle this time. It’s probably not a perfect circle if you put the two halves back together but I don’t really care, it looks great!

Anyways, I grew up with the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon, so I based the Shredder’s design from that. His outfit, despite looking simple, did have some details I mixed up, like the placement of the spikes/claws(?) on his shoulder pads and forearm and leg guards. I never really noticed how… pointy his armor was until now. Also is it just me or is it oddly hard to draw simple eyes surrounded by darkness without them looking weird?

I’m not sure why Stain also came to mind, probably the serrated sword he has (I don’t know what the technical name of it is), but I got really invested of the idea of Stain vs Shredder. I also like Stain as a character, he’s creepy and cool, powerful, an experienced fighter and his design is really cool. Not if only he were easy to draw. Seriously, with the amount of wraps and scarves he has, plus his hair, I had to be extra careful trying to differentiate everything. Filling in his black hair made it easier at least.

Not much else to say about this really; two characters known to slash, slice, and shred through their enemies possibly about to face off or just ready to cut through the heroes their after. All in all I’m really happy with how this came out. Now here’s a question: Who do you think would win?

Inktober 2025 — Day 11 — Sting

So I very much gravitated to the thought of bees when I think of “Sting” as a prompt. I know they’re not the only creature in the world who stings (wasps, hornets, scorpions, etc.), and sting can mean a type of operation, but come on bees are too fitting! I thought of what bee characters I could draw and remembered that Bumblebee from Transformers has weapons literally called stingers, particularly in the Animated series which I have already drawn from (forgive the pun).

Then I also remembered a Miraculous Ladybug AU where Marinette has the Bee Miraculous rather than the Ladybug earrings and really wanted to include that as well. I especially loved her upgraded look with the extra stripes and the little puffs at her wrists and ankles. So with my characters picked out I planned a simple scene with the two side by side. I had thought of adding Bumblebee’s stinger weapons but then I started designing far more complicated fight scenes and had to stop myself. I’m learning my lesson, I swear.

I think the most challenging part was committing to the full black and white design. Filling in the black parts made me really slow down to make sure I was filling in everything evenly and filling in the right parts, lest I accidentally end up swapping the light and the dark parts. But I’m really happy with how it turned out, especially Marigold! I think she came out really cute!

Marigold is from the Scarlet Lady AU comic made by the very talented @zoe-oneesama and I can only hope I did her justice. (Love your work Zoe!)

Inktober 2025 — Day 10 — Sweep

Who else watched the Kirby anime as a kid? I remember watching the Japanese dub online, binging episodes back to back and especially loving the theme song. Actually, come to think of it that might have been my first introduction to anime in general. Good times. :)

For the prompt, I wanted to do Cleaning Kirby on his broom flying out of the frame while his friends and other characters are looking up at him. I think they all came out pretty well, though it was surprisingly hard drawing some of them since the scale was so small. All in all a nice, light hearted drawing for a pretty simple prompt.

Also, a little side note, is anyone else a Fumu/Tiff fan? I feel like she’s underrated. I get she can be annoying, there are some episodes I feel she gets really pushy, but she is just a kid. A very smart kid at that, like when she did full calculations of a star coming towards her home town. I can see why she’d get frustrated when people underestimate her or don’t listen. I don’t know, maybe my biases are showing.

Inktober 2025 — Day 9 — Heavy

Of course the Heavy Weapons Guy was the first thing that came to mind at this prompt. Unfortunately I never got the opportunity to play Team Fortress 2 since I never had a proper gaming computer, but maybe one day I’ll get the chance.

I tried thinking of what I could draw Heavy doing: Maybe him lifting or passing the payload, maybe him and his sandvich, but I wanted to emphasize the heavy prompt. Then all of a sudden I thought “Hey, you know what else is technically heavy? Thor’s hammer!” And now we’re here I guess.

Initially I made a rough draft of Heavy trying to lift Mjolnir, but I had trouble getting the proportions right since Heavy is a really big guy and Mjolnir is surprisingly small in comparison. Also I didn’t want to open the can of worms the debate would be if Heavy is worthy of welding Mjolnir (I’ll leave that to the TF2 professionals) so I’m leaving it up to debate. Instead here’s Heavy having just found Thor’s hammer and looking in intrigue.

Inktober 2025 — Day 8 — Reckless

When I tried thinking of a reckless character that I personally knew of, the first one who came to mind was Izuku Midoriya. After all it’s practically a running gag how many of his own bones he has broken. But when I gave it more thought, he wasn’t entirely reckless throughout MHA. Yes, he’d rush into danger and come up with risky plans, but he would at least do his best to plan and only took extreme risks because the situation called for it. He was always aware of his environment, and had ideas that, while dangerous, are ones he thought through thoroughly (say that five times fast). He took risks, but was never reckless.

In contrast to Izuku, Galo Thymos is definitely more reckless. His whole thing is rushing into life threatening situations with very little planning. He’s not an idiot, he knows how dangerous fires are and he’s clearly done his training, but the amount of times he’s gotten himself into trouble or ran into a very dangerous scenario is probably concerning for this Burning Rescue Team. Thankfully he’s got luck on his side, and he was definitely a more fitting character for the prompt. I wanted to draw Galo rushing into fire, likely to save someone’s life. I wanted the flames (likely Burnish flames) to sort of move around him almost like they’re surrounding him but not quite attacking him. I do kind of want to color this in another time though that’s mostly because Promare is a visually stunning movie with really nice color schemes, especially with the Burnish.

(Apologies for the sudden absence. Something in life came up that I had to prioritize which led me to having less time in the afternoon to draw, plus I was unable to stay up late since getting up early in the morning became much more important.)

Inktober 2025 — Day 7 — Starfish

Patrick Star. Enough said.

.

.

.

Okay, I guess there’s more I can say. I grew up on classic SpongeBob episodes, and I still have very fond memories of the show. So of course when I saw the “Starfish” prompt, Patrick was the first thing that came to mind. I couldn’t fight it no matter how much I tried thinking of something different, so I embraced it.

One of my favorite episodes to this day is Band Geeks. It has so many good moments, great jokes, and an amazing finale. I also came across a reanimated project of the episode online and I always love those kinds of fan group projects. As for Patrick himself, well I think everyone knows what moment this came from. I really wanted to have him popping out of the circle and emphasizing just how tall he got like in the episode.

While it is directly from the episode rather thany usual different take, I am happy with the end result. After so many days of complicated and detailed designs, it was nice to draw something simple that brings back good memories. A very simple drawing and definitely a needed break from more complex ideas.

Inktober 2025 — Day 6 — Pierce

This prompt took much longer than expected, partially because I got sick for a day and needed time to recover. The other part was coming up with ideas for the prompt, which one to go for, and choosing what characters to use for said idea. I had considered drawing someone getting their ears pierced, and while I still like that idea, I couldn’t think of a single character who doesn’t already have their ears pierced but whom I could imagine doing so. In the end, I went with the idea of a sword piercing through someone. Or rather two people.

So, Elephant in the room: I am not a direct fan of Honkai Star Rail. By that I mean the majority of what I know about the story comes from one of my best friends info dumping on me whenever there’s an update or she finds something about her favorite characters. But I love hearing what she’s interested in, it sounds really interesting, and I also info dump on her plenty of times so it’s fair. It’s part of being best friends. ☺️

Two characters my friend talks about frequently are Mydei and Phainon. Their backstories, powers and positions in the story, cursed fates, and so on. So pulling everything I could remember, I thought of a scene where Phainon ends up stabbing Mydei in the back while they’re having a moment, but ends up piercing through himself as well. Honestly for my very first time drawing anything from this series, I’m fairly happy with how it came out. I know I probably missed some details in the outfits but I still think they’re recognizable. I can only hope I’ve done at least some justice for the Honkai Star Rail fandom. (I also haven’t shown my best friend this yet, so I’m curious how she’ll react. Hopefully she likes it! 🤞)

Also, I didn’t realize until now that I wrote “pierced” instead of just “pierce” and I’m not going back to change it now. Sorry, but I’m exhausted.

UPDATE: I realized I didn’t draw Phainon’s sword’s guard correctly and completely missed the sun design. I felt really bad especially because my friend really loves the series, so I went back and fixed it, as well as fixing the prompt just because.

Inktober 2025 — Day 5 — Deer

I’m kind of bending the definition of “deer” for this prompt, but come on I couldn’t pass an opportunity to draw a Hazbin Hotel character. I remember when the pilot came out and I really likes Alastor’s character and I drew him for the first time. I think this is only the second time I’ve drawn him surprisingly and I’m pretty happy with what I did.

I wanted a scene where someone is aiming a shot at Alastor with some sort of gun but then Alastor catches on and spots them, then gives the would be attacker a smug, arrogant grin as though taunting them to try and take the shot.

I did have an idea of adding the sort of glitch effects that happen whenever a camera is on Alastor in the show or when he starts turning into his demon form, but I ended up liking the clean drawing as it was so I’ll shelf that idea for another time.

Inktober 2025 — Day 4 — Murky

So thinking of murky, immediately I think of murky waters. And building off of that, the first characters that came to mind were the Leech Twins from Twisted Wonderland. But for some reason I wanted to try to think of something else. Unfortunately this just led to me wasting time until I ultimately decided to go with my first choice. While I wasn’t sure how to draw murky or foggy waters with just an ink pen, I did have an image in my head of the twins lurking in the water hiding behind rocks or seaweed. After some rough sketches, I figured out a cool scene with Jade and Floyd almost observing something through a wall of sea plants.

I did my best drawing the Leech twins in eel-mer form. While I think I made the markings on Jade’s face a bit off, other wise I am happy with my first attempt. Though the real challenge surprisingly was trying to get the twins to look like twins. Once I drew one, drawing the other became much more difficult. I feel it’s similar to trying to draw the other eye on a face, I know everyone has struggled with that at least once (if you haven’t, you’re lying!)

Inktober 2025 — Day 3 — Crown

So apparently I just can’t keep things simple. Just three days in and I choose to draw not one but TWO characters with incredibly intricately detailed designs. But in this case, I don’t regret it because I really love how this came out.

My first thought of “Crown” was Riddle Rosehearts since he literally has a crown. But I didn’t want to draw just him by himself, so I kept brainstorming. Eventually I thought of Lizzie Hearts from Ever After High and knew it was a perfect match. I kept the poses simple because their outfits were the biggest challenge. Seriously, full love and respect to their creators.

I think it’s pretty interesting to compare the two and see their differences and similarities. For example, Lizzie definitely has the better mother. They both play croquet and are friends with their own Cheshire Cat. They both have a bit of a temper but are getting better and at the end of the day they are good people with great friends. Is it strange if I kind of ship them? As long as Riddle’s mom stays out of the picture.

(As a quick aside, if anyone is interested in more Twisted Wonderland X Ever After High crossover content I highly recommend checking out @sayuricorner and their Headcanons. They have a lot of good stuff.)

Inktober 2024 — Day 23 — Rust

Initially I thought about doing something related to Transformers, but knowing I’m trying to catch up to Inktober prompts, I needed something easier. So I dug through the archive of movies and TV shows I used to watch as a little kid and found two I thought fit pretty well: Transformers Animated and My Life as a Teenage Robot. So technically I did pick something transformers related, but someone easier to draw.

I hadn’t thought about this crossover before now, but thinking it through I can imagine Sari and Jenny being good friends. I mean they’re both teenage robot girls, they probably can find a lot in common.

There’s not much of a story for the picture. Just Jenny having a bad day either after a rough battle or being stuck out in the rain (or both), then Sari comes along, finds her and helps Jenny out. Initially I thought about adding Sari’s jet pack, but again, I’m trying to keep things from getting too complicated.

Inktober 2024 — Day 22 — Camp

I’ve said it once, I will say it again: I fully believe that Izuku Midoriya could befriend anyone and everyone at Night Raven College. He is inevitable. XD This has quickly become my favorite crossover.

I immediately thought of the Camp Vargas event from Twisted Wonderland for this prompt, and of all the characters I for some reason focused on Ruggie. Maybe I just really liked his SSR card (which I sadly don’t have) or maybe I was trying to find a character I haven’t drawn Izuku with yet. Whatever the reason, I’m happy with how he came out. I did my best with his camp outfit and I think I did pretty well, especially with his sweater. For Izuku I gave him his blue hoodie outfit since I thought it fit the theme. He’s working on some marshmallows while having a little sweet treat.

Also, I am working on Day 3 of Inktober 2025, I just bit off more than I could chew with both this prompt and “Crown”.

Inktober 2025 — Day 2 — Weave

So this one I struggled with thinking of a character who either fit the prompt. I talked to some friends and family and my dad suggested drawing something for weaved hair or something similar. A few characters popped into mind, but none of them I could think of who were confirmed to have that kind of hairstyle, so to avoid misrepresenting anyone or anything, I stuck with weaving in terms of art creations or hobbies.

While brainstorming, I came across an Epic the Musical animatic and instantly knew what I wanted to do: Penelope, Odysseus’s wife and the queen of Ithaca, and famous for her weaving skills which delayed her suitors wishing to marry her. I also wanted to fill the background with a tapestry she is working on, unfinished just like in the Odyssey. For the tapestry I looked up Greek pottery depicting the Odyssey and found some of the boat Odysseus sailed on, then tried to replicate it as best I could.

I can only hope I did Penelope herself justice as I realize I haven’t really drawn beautiful women very often. Sure I have experience with beautiful or attractive characters, but I typically have references to draw from (no pun intended). This felt more free handed, and while I did look up inspiration for her hair and clothes, it was mostly me trying to do my own take on Penelope. Hopefully fellow Epic the Musical fans like it!

Inktober 2025 — Day 1 — Mustache

How was I Able to get this drawing done in a day when I still am working on the ones from last year? Oh, who am I to complain? I love how this turned out.

The first character to come to mind for this prompt was Coran from Voltron (followed by Spike from that one episode of MLP FiM, and then Mario and Luigi). And I want to keep things simple this year, so I just drew him chilling out with a drink. This is actually my first time drawing him and I think he came out pretty good. :) I was thinking about coloring it in, but I wasn’t sure if I had ink markers that would match his color palette, so for now I’m sticking with the black and white I’ve been doing for a while.

Also, forgive my horrible hand writing! I’m not the best at free handed typography. :P

Inktober 2024 — Day 21 — Rhinoceros

So… Yeah, I know I’m incredibly late. The past year was rough and I was struggling to make art like I used to. Art block mixed with a rough case of lost motivation somehow took the fun out of drawing. Before I knew it, it was October. Right now, I am working on catching up with what I missed from last year AND I will be doing this year’s Inktober, though the latter will likely take priority.

With that being said, I will NEVER draw another Marvel fight scene ever again!!! This stinking prompt had be stuck for MONTHS! I had the idea: use the Rhino from Spider-Man and do a fight scene with him, Spider-Man, and another character. But then I struggled to find the other character, find references of the Rhino that weren’t to difficult to draw, and make the fight scene!

Thankfully I have a very good friend who showed me The Spectacular Spider-Man animated series. Really good show and a pretty great Rhink to boot. After that I brainstormed who else to include then I remembered, before Endgame came out, I really liked the idea of Shuri from Black Panther meeting Peter. Two new geniuses who also were goofy teenagers and incredible heroes too, even with how things went in the MCU, I still imagine they’d be great friends. So imagine my luck when I discovered Marvel Rising which had a 2D animated shirt with a design like from the movies but much easier to draw! I haven’t watched the show yet, let me know if it’s worth the watch.

But then came the bane of my existence: the fight scene I wanted to draw. I had to figure out character placements, poses, the movement for each character and how I imagined them all charging into battle. It took me FOREVER to figure out, and I got stuck on Shuri of all people for weeks. At times I was tempted to change it, but I couldn’t think of much else. Eventually I pushed through and got everything right, then I tried moving on to the next prompt I still had to do completely forgetting to share this. Ugh. At least it’s finished. I’m working on the next couple of drawings and this year’s prompt as well. Please be patient and stick around, I promise to do my best.

Inktober 2024 — Day 20 — Uncharted

Due to real life events, I needed to take some time to myself. Though I ended up taking a bit more than I had planned, I’m slowly getting back into things. I’ll try to be more diligent about the rest of the prompts, at least more so than last year’s final prompt.

Day Twenty took a much more obscure path, like some of the other drawings I’ve done this year, mostly because my original idea had more to it. Long story short, it was going to be two characters flying over or exploring uncharted lands or seas, but I couldn’t get the poses right, and making the backgrounds would have taken even more time to do, and I’m trying not to make these to daunting. Regardless, I’m proud of the end result, and I’m especially happy that I get to draw these two characters for the first time. It took a lot of time drawing Hawks’s wings and Charizard in particular. Friede was the easy child so to speak.

My friends and I have been watching Pokémon Horizons and I remember when I first saw Friede, he strangely reminded me of Hawks from My Hero Academia. Maybe it was the jacket, maybe it was how two of them were frequently flying, but I think it was the attitude that solidified it. They both seem very laid back at first glance but the more you see them in action, the more you know how serious they take their respective jobs. They both also work hard to help and protect others, though Hawks does so in a much larger scale. It’s also interesting to see how different the two are, especially in how much freedom they have, or lack there of. Because one was able to choose the direction their life went while the other had little to no choice due to outside factors, despite how the latter seems to have more power than the other. Friede’s job as a Rising Volt Tackler gives him more freedom while Hawks’s job as a Pro Hero strangely keeps his wings clipped… I’m sorry I couldn’t help myself, I’ll just see my self out. :P

Inktober 2024 — Day 19 — Ridge

I know I’m way behind and it’s not October anymore, but I’ll still be continuing this until it’s done. I may end up sharing other unrelated drawings/ideas in between prompts, just a heads up. (Really, the dates I put on the sketches are just for consistency at this point XD)

So this prompt was one I struggled on. I know a ridge is a kind of mountain, but I couldn’t think of any ideas for that. I’ve already done hiking and nothing else was coming to mind. Eventually I went with more “raised earth” idea and knew I wanted to do something with Toph from AtLA. I thought of other earth related characters, and while there are many great characters fitting that theme, my bias showed and I return back to Voltron.

This is the first time I’ve drawn Hunk, and I’m pretty happy with it. Some proportions are off, but I still like how he came out. I did initially plan to have him reacting in fear from Toph’s earthbending, but the more I thought about it, the more I felt like he would be more in awe than afraid. And of course Toph is very proud that she gets to show off.
