Walt Disney World Hints "Gazelle" As The Next Redesing For Passholder Magnet By Disney Television Animation And Walt Disney Imagineering.
We're turnin' the floor into a zoo, ooh, ooh. 🎶
Walt Disney World has hinted that the next magnet will be themed in some way to a character or characters from Zootopia. The teaser is obviously inspired in the new attraction "Zootopia: Better Zoogether" which opened last November at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
According to comments that are trying to find the actual clue, it's likely that this Passholder Magnet will have Gazelle since she has prominent role in the attraction specially during the Zoogether concert where Judy and Nick hijack her show by trying to find the mysterious animal that tries to ruin the event for the community.
As usual the redesing will be done by Asia Ellington ("Primos"), Paul Rudish ("The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse" franchise) and Alex Kirwan (Warner Bros Animation "The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie", "Looney Tunes Cartoons"). The passholder magnet will have an original animation of the character by Disney Television Animation and Mercury Filmworks.
"The Doomies" is still aiming a Q1, 2026 release date on Disney+ according to Canadian site The Globe and Mail.
The horror-comedy serialized series got listed as part of Disney+'s biggest releases in the first 3 months of 2026.
"Streaming releases feature anticipated content, including theatrical releases like Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Disney+ originals like Wonder Man (Marvel Studios series), The Doomies, Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2, each leveraging Disney's unparalleled intellectual property portfolio. Adult Swim Co-Founder Andy Merrill Unveils That He Developed His Version Of A "Haunted Mansion" Series At Disney Television Animation But Got "Killed" Once Walt Disney Studios And Guillermo Del Toro Expressed Interest On Axed Film Adaptation.
Grim Grinning Ghosts almost came out to socialize at Disney Television Animation for a third time.
Andy Merrill one of the key veterans that founded Adult Swim at Cartoon Network as well proving the voice of the character Brak in Space Ghost Coast to Coast revealed that he attemped to pitch a animated series based on the beloved "Haunted Mansion" attraction at Disney Television Animation.
According to Merrill, a full pitch bible was written alongside a pilot script with Merrill detailing the pitch bible was very big however he would mention that the project was killed when Walt Disney Studios and Guillermo Del Toro expressed interest in making a new film adaptation of the ride but that project also got killed in the mid-2010s.
Based on the anecdote it seems that Merill's pitch was before Disney Television Animation tried to revive the idea in 2014 with two more attempts by Joshua Prett and Scott D. Peterson ("Phineas And Ferb", "Milo Murphy's Law") as a standalone television special for Disney XD and Shannon Tindle (Laika Studios "Kubo And The Two Strings", Netflix Animation "Ultra Man: Rising") as a mini-series also for Disney XD however executive changes at Disney Branded Television in 2017 shelved it's production, since then the studio has only touched the "Haunted Mansion" IP in the Random Rings and Chibi Tiny Tales short-series for crosspromotion material.
Merill is not stranger to Disney as he provided voice acting work in Disney TVA in shows like Gravity Falls as "Teeth” during “Weirdmaggedon”, Jelly Lips in the Disney TVA pilot “Club Sandwich” co-created by Craig Lewis (“StuGo”, “Wander Over Yonder”, Cartoon Network Studios “Chowder”, “Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends”) and currently is doing Pat Chatterly in “Kiff”.
Maybe one day the mansion's doors will open once again at Disney Television Animation with a new film or animated series for Disney+, beacuse we feel that animation is the next logical step after two failed attempts with live-action films.
Maybe hire Patrick McHale (Cartoon Network Studios "Over The Garden Wall") to do it or revive Del Toro's and Merrill's idea as an animated film.

Disney Enterprises Inc Renews Merchandise Plans For "Dragon Striker" As It Hints Disney Branded Television's Plans For The Series To Become Disney's Next Big Animated Hit.
The game is getting ready and Disney has merchandise plans.
Disney Enterprises Inc. has renewed their trademarks for merchandise plans for the upcoming serialized fantasy-driven comedy series "Dragon Striker" slated for a 2026 release on Disney Channel and Disney+.
Seems that Disney has faith on the Disney EMEA Animation series in becoming their next big animated hit as the renewed trademarks for merchandise include plans for backpacks, clothing, books, school supplies, tote bags.
Merchandise plans for "Dragon Striker" & "The Doomies" got trademarked back in 2022, a few months after both series got greenlit at Annecy 2022.
"Dragon Striker" joins fellow Disney EMEA series "The Doomies" in getting so much faith behind the scenes at Disney as "The Doomies" has gotten an 4 episode extension order bringing a 26 episode order to it's first season alongside standalone shorts and a potential second season currently in pre-production according to Xilam Animation CEO back in October 2025.
Seems that Disney wants "The Doomies" and "Dragon Striker" to become Disney's next big flagship series which is surprising with the recent cancelations of their original animated programming at least within it's American animation studio ("Hailey's On It!", "Primos", "StuGo") as The Doomies and Dragon Striker are 100% done by Disney european unit.
"Dragon Striker" and "The Doomies" debut this year on Disney+ and Disney Channel.
