i <3 tracking down things that dont matter on the internet
my crowning achievement was when i read a book that was like yeah theres this pronoun set that supposedly existed in the 1800s but we dont know who coined it or where or why and then i spent like four hours reading through google books results and found the book the pronoun set had originally been coined in and emailed the author of the book to be like. dude you'll never believe this. i found it. and he was like OH SHIT. YOU FOUND IT.
ill never top that
What's the pronoun set though, please and thank you?
it's ne/nis/nim! coined by william hall in his 1856 "encyclopedia of english grammar". i found a mention of it in an ohio teachers' monthly from the 1890s, and then tracked down a digitized copy of hall's book. here's screencaps of both the ohio teachers' monthly mentioning hall, and the footnotes of his book where he suggests ne/nis/nim!

Am I making things up to be mad at or does it seem like every two years or so when there's a popular gay guy media, people start posting from the alternate universe where gay male characters are inescapable? People seem unable to just say "I wish there was more lesbian characters" without including some weird snarky comment about the gay guy media of the year.
nah id agree w that. i tend to see more people talking about the recent hit gay media than i do existing lesbian media but like. shit's out there. go watch that instead of complaining about gay guy rep.

"reach out to the publishing house if you have questions about any of the included images" yea man i wanna know where the fuck you got the title "the prostitute" in yiddish for this painting when the only other place i can find it is a 1928 book that gives the title as "the beautiful katja" and the artist's name as well.
there's apparently a german book called "The Lush Woman: Sex Life And Erotic Effect Artistic And Cartoonist Representation Of The Thick Woman From The Very Beginning To Today" which id love to read but i cant find a german copy online much less a translated version. but. yea if you can read german maybe that'd be cool to check out
Once-forgotten 1920’s erotic art by an anonymous Czech artist, this and 32 other stunning watercolors were rediscovered and released in 1974 by an obscure London publishing house under the title “Kugelrunda“… they speak volumes about body positivity as the women featured clearly are comfortable with their bodies and revel in the abundant pleasures of their flesh.
you have to be consistent in your principles. jesus christ.
"talking about doing/wanting [x] is an action that deserves legal consequences" ok now extend that out beyond just stuff u personally find morally reprehensible or gross. how does that apply to noncon fantasies of being the perpetrator? death threats towards the president?
You ever notice how TERFs are, obviously, super against kink lifestyle because it's supposedly forcing your fetish on other people if you wear a dog collar around your neck, but also super adamant they have the fundamental human right to make their entire personality revolve around the precise genital configuration you're sexually attracted to? Like this is literally just reducing homosexuality to sex and saying they should get to be as loud about the sex they have as possible. They're perfectly happy to admit they want the lesbian flag to be entirely synonymous with a cis woman's tongue up another cis woman's cunt. This is way more exhibitionist than me wearing really girly pink clothing and calling myself a sissy.
how often are they getting chances to say "i like vaginas only" in day to day conversation
