what tropes make your favorite characters i want to find more one piece characters to beam into your brain
ohhhh god okay.... here are some of my many favorite traits:
- characters who feel an inherent sense of wrongness
- ^ adds to prev, but characters who feel not really human
- guilty characters. if they feel notable guilt about literally anything
- emotional and yet very repressed
- KIND. Characters who have been through hell but are kind despite it all!!!!!!!!
antiblackness in supernatural literally cannot be looked over at all like it’s generally just very there but even moreso is the blatant COLORISM. cassie the banes twins patience and every other light skinned black character on the show were never villainized or given like. an awful ending (although this doesn’t exempt them from the general racism they’d face. they’re still black.) and then you compare them to missouri and billie and rufus and gordon walker and it’s just disgustingly obvious what they really think of dark skinned black people
missouri being killed 12 whole seasons later and billie being twisted into the worst villain at the last minute and rufus only dying to further some random emotional plot of a white character and gordon walker having to embody the ruthlessly violent black character stereotype and even with isaac and tamara who were in ONE episode got this gruesome ending that was never addressed and jake was manipulated by yellow eyes for so long! his family was threatened and he was going through it all alone and still painted as the villain and i don’t know it just fucking sucks
this post is gathering a lot more attention! i forgot to mention both victor — one of the first antagonists for sam and dean who was killed off directly after what was supposed to be a redemption arc lmfao and donnie/the other (unnamed) vessel for raphael
