Your version of Marika is so locked in my brain, I really enjoy it (800+ hours in Elden Ring for brain rot context) and its dug its nails in so deep i was listening to the song I Am the Crown They'll Bleed For by Manifested Dreams and a whole AMV style sequence played in my head of your Marika during the age of the Golden Order. The colours, the line art, the blending of techniques in your Spiderverse pic, the anatomy and stylisation... Can you do a tutorial on how you color armor? Lots of tutorials I have seen make it really realistic but that’s now what I’m going for. I’m new to this
i view them as reflective mirrors instead of armors....... uh im not really good at explaining, but my style relies more on shape language of the lineart rather than rendering correct materials.
so a lot of time armor tutorials will show you how to paint realistic metal yeah? but i treat the armor as another part of the whole composition without trying to achieve the metal look.
it's not so much as how i "colour" it, but how i have the lineart acting as guideline to where every shadow and lighting will go.
