My 26 yo self: I'm so happy for them, proud that they feel like it's time to share the truth with the world. I hope they feel freer and lighter, and that we can show our support without invading their privacy and we can prove we got better at respecting their boundaries

they had every reason to not divulge their relationship until now but I'm so glad they did because there's genuinely no greater knowledge than the fact that two queer kids could become a safe place for each other and weather every storm for 16 years and only come out happier and stronger in the face of it. every single story like theirs is a blessing just to know it exists
