Greif stricken; King Arthur amasses his knights to travel by boat to reach the infamous witch, the Lady of the Lake. Arthur's vessel was carefully crafted from pure hawthorn trees, while moon crystals were cut in the shape of eyes to help guide him on his fate for justice. --- This was a big undertaking that needed a lot of research as I have not touched unreal 5 in a while. Was incredibly humbling to slowly see this take form.
Up close renders of my scene. I really wanted to try and push for a night scene, as usually we environment artists always tend to focus on midday/morning scenes.
Tried to also add some nice moonlit rim light. 🌙 Special thanks to these specific amazing people for helping me reach this point... Julio Coletti: https://www.artstation.com/julionicoletti for the amazing concept of the boat. - Tyler Dillard: https://www.artstation.com/dmpickle for the water shader help. - Prismatica Dev: https://www.youtube.com/@PrismaticaDev/featured for helping with absolutely everything. :''D - CGhow: https://www.youtube.com/@cghow for all and everything about particles. - And 'The Long Dark' by Scott Buckley: https://soundcloud.com/scottbuckley for a very beautiful and mysterious track. - I really could not have done it without these people.

This was my final scene I created for my Excalibur. This was a King Arthur challenge on Artstation done way back in 2019.. Which was a lot of pain and hell to bring forth. :''D
To show that sometimes we all fail. I never managed to finish the deadline for the 3 props I needed to do. It didn't help I started a month late and realized many of the 3D challengers sorta pick their ideas before the challenge even starts. So I was pretty down. 😔 I realized however, that finishing it for myself was worth the struggle no matter.
Over all I tried a lot of ideas I would not have even tempted if I just had quit. Sometimes even when you don't succeed, you can just push yourself; and if it makes you happy then it is the most worth while goal. 👍
An older artstation challenge I did for the King Arthur 3D prop project. This was the 3D sword asset I chose from the amazing concept from Decios junior.
I also got the sheath to work! :'''D
Keyshot renders.
