I think some people forget that some literature and some media is meant to be deeply uncomfortable and unsettling. It's meant to make you have a very visceral reaction to it. If you genuinely can't handle these stories then you are under no obligation to consume them but acting as if they have no purpose or as if people don't have a right to tell these stories, stories that often relate to the darkest or most disturbing parts of life, then you should do some introspection.

I finished the book

I think I'm just now, in December, reading what will be my favorite read of the entire year. I'm like 75% the way through this book and I literally can't put it down but I have to take a break because it's wearing me down in such an emotional way. It's one of those books that I don't think I'll be able to reread for a long time. I want a physical copy but the cover is just so fucking ugly. If I didn't read it on my kindle and instead came across it at the bookstore, I'd never would of touched it. But the story itself??? Makes me wanna throw myself face first into a crater, in the best possible way

I dont believe having a home library or a large collection of books is over consumption. Owning 5 kindles for every room of your house however-
