It’s entirely self-indulgent as I’m a bit of a history buff every now and then so I’m not really in the business of sharing anything right now, but I do have another au that I can share!

It’s basically a What if? of the FF origin, specifically the retelling that mentions Johnny going supernova because he accidentally absorbs all the heat from the crash and almost kills Reed, Sue, and Ben.

Yeah, I’m going there.

So Johnny gets taken in by SHIELD (Idk if they were a thing by then, I hate SHIELD actually erm…) and works as a SHIELD operative, since he’s “an obvious danger, but useful if trained”. This version of Johnny is a lot more gloomy due to unworked trauma and training, and doesn’t have any friends. He knows of Spider-Man but in a professional sense. He’s respected as an operative but SHIELD basically owns him and he knows they’d go after him if he went rogue.
