I will freely admit that I may just be reaching here but I was talking about pentecostal holiness this evening with my wife. For those who don't know, they're a strict conservative sect of Christianity and we were talking about the way some of the women wear their hair.
The style?
Hair poof.
Now this may just be in my neck of the woods but it's a pretty reliable indicator of the faith around me and I know I've seen it elsewhere so I couldn't help but connect it to Adora's hair poof. Is this intentional with the whole subtext with the Horde? I have no clue but I couldn't help but think about it and put it out into the world.
"Hey, Finn… what's that noise?" Bow asked as he walked up to Catra and Adora's house.
Finn shrugged as they said, "What noise?"
Bow looked at them, trying to figure out exactly what game they were playing because Finn looked incredibly innocent, which meant they were incredibly guilty of something.
"Finn, I've known your mother for years, I know you and her both have amazing hearing," Bow said as he heard the distant thuds from the house along with the occasional shout.

Post-season five Hordak and Adora's relationship being good as Adora remembers how Hordak felt when he found her in the field when she was a baby and Hordak, having had the memory forcibly brought forward when Prime was ejected, having similar feelings so that they're on good terms. Catra and Hordak, not so much, and especially in the beginning it's a bit like the father-in-law who doesn't quite approve of their daughter's partner but puts up with them for the sake of their daughter and the partner being the same in her feelings. So lots of awkward and occasionally tense meetings. I also love the idea that Adora doesn't quite catch on at first because she's not exactly the most emotionally intelligent of the cast.
It's late in the evening at Catra and Adora's monthly party. A few people are settling down in the living room as the rest have left and gone to bed and the discussion, as it does, drifts to old times while Capella, only daughter of Bow and Glimmer, listens quietly.

"Good party," Bow said with a sigh as he leaned into Glimmer's arm that slid around his shoulder.
"Yeah," Catra said, nodding from her easy chair beside Adora's. She took a sip from the balloon glass in her hand and sighed. "That's the good stuff."
"I have no idea how you can drink that," Adora said, nodding at the brandy.
"Because it's good," Catra said before taking another sip. "And it's not pure sugar like that one."
She nodded at the wine glass full of a highly sweetened dessert wine Adora liked.
"It's not pure sugar. It's been fermented after all," Adora said.
"I remember the first time I saw you drink that," Scorpia said where she was half reclined on a couch. She had a large beer stein in her claw as she went on. "It was that party right after the war at… I can't remember where."
"Tumble-Down-River," Bow said with a smile. "Didn't she drink three bottles?"
"Yeah! That place! That was a great place! And four is my memory," Scorpia said.
Everyone chuckled a little and Adora just shook her head.
