i'm 426 (pronounced four-two-six), they/them message/ask me anything anytime my tagging system #reblog - any post i reblog from someone, myself included #text - any post i add text to #asks - any ask i receive and answer #art - posts that include my own art, also exceedingly rare #fanart #filter off - sexual or suggestive content at my discretion i have ocs and i tag them on posts, either because that post involves/contains them or matches their aesthetic/story. more may be added. i love to talk about them #silas #nines #icarus #anthony #malachai less important ones: #parry #mox some of these ocs are eldritch gods. i also love to talk about these #artifice #primordial #vel-thuthaal #rhae-ilthar #oligotheon - unsorted manifestations, i edit the post when i decide personas may also make an appearance #four #the big bad wolf

when i was 18 i used to go to plant parenthood for my testosterone with my mom and the protesters outside would yell at me like i was there helping my mom get an abortion

Snake Bridge on Macclesfield Canal. location: Astbury Congleton, England

Ok I’m going to be normal about this but this is one of my favorite (non-train) infrastructure things so these bridges are designed for barge drawing horses and the spirals are because the horses have ropes tied to the barges and the spirals stop the ropes from tangling.

They’re very pretty and also a cool topological solution to a weird problem

i kinda don't like those posts that are like "it feels so good to be a hater in private instead of bullying people" because i don't think the only two options for negative opinions are Privacy or Bullying. being a hater in a public forum is perfectly fine, and even the most vitriolic negative opinions are not automatically bullying just because someone who might have their feelings hurt by them sees them. there's a difference between being negatively impacted by something you see and being actually targeted by negativity.

seeing someone drop an absolute dogshit off the mark screed against something you love that is not actually harmful in any real way but nevertheless activates the enrage phase of your boss battle and then learning to either just block them or keep scrolling without it ruining your day is a valuable skill. and i think we've all seen what spaces that demand constant positivity end up like. developing an inconsequential bullshit tolerance is necessary to be a well balanced member of a social species.

my take for the day. being edgy (and i mean shadow the hedgehog, 2005 mcr, scene kid edgy. not 4chan edgy) is in fact very good and i’d say even important

genuine expression of your emotions, especially your negative ones, is incredibly important to keep your mental health in check. doing it through music (listening or creating), clothes, makeup, poetry, etc is a safe and healthy way to do it

bottling up your emotions is never good. if listening to bring me the horizon helps you process your views on the world, do it. if smudging your eyeliner feels like you’re matching your inside to your outside, do it. if drawing bloody characters makes you feel better, do it. who cares if some boring loser thinks it’s cringe. do it for yourself

I'm not against nude dresses, I just want equality. If women show up on the red carpet wearing clingfilm and two sequins, I want men to do the same. I want to see Michael B Jordan's nipples in a mesh top. I want to see Timothy Chalamet's entire ass. I want to see Tom Cruise march out there wearing nothing but a strategically placed satin handkerchief to prove that he's still got it.

Until there's at least five semi-nude men at every red carped event, I suggest female movie stars all wear suits, or if they don't like suits, high-necked long-sleeved ankle-length ballgowns.

Either dress code is good with me as long as it's consistent.

one curiousity search on ebay to see if people are still going nuts over beanie babies has led to getting a strong contender for the funniest email ever

Continually confused by people online too scared of the terminal to try Linux, but perfectly willing to perform 18 registry edits in mysterious locations to make windows usable.

I’m watching The Big Bang Theory in its natural setting—playing in the background of a hot spiral room—and I can say within that specific context, it is a very charming show. Like the saltine crackers of media.

Hospital room. A hospital room. Not a hot spiral room. What a nightmare idea. And you all rolled with that idea. The idea that I was sitting in a hot sweltering spiral prison watching the Big Bang theory is actually what hell is. Bazinga.

exiting a uquiz halfway through when it becomes clear the creator's narrow and immature world view and cultural knowledge leaves them totally unequipped to tell me which peanuts character i am with any degree of accuracy or insight
