New Year's Resolution: Make More Art

Happy 2024! Decided to start this sideblog to keep all my attempts at art in one place. I'm mostly a writer, so (if anyone sees this) please be kind.

I made an art blog! I've not posted much art online before (mostly because I'm not great at it) but I decided to make an active effort in 2024 to create more (in whatever medium the fancy takes me), so feel free to follow me over there too if you're interested in watching my (slow) progress.

someone needs to get charles dickens on this april fool's shit. i'm talking a 345 page thesis on bringing the light, fun, and warmth back into the holiday. scrooge is back in this hard-hitting sequel called an april fool's aria.

humans need opportunities to play pretend and make jokes and have fun and !!! this should be april first!!! but honestly!!! for my entire life i have dreaded today i was a neurodivergent & ugly kid. people use the word "prank" to excuse cruelty, and i hated the whole concept!! even in adulthood it can feel forced and corporate and like it never really was a holiday or activity.

but like... we should have a day dedicated to going outside and seeing the sun and laughing and remembering warmth!! we should have springtime halloween!! there should be masquerade balls and fun dances and harmless traditions!! i love a holiday where the whole plan is just "get together and have fun!!" and yes i know there's like other holidays in spring but they already have their own identities and i'm just saying this is a day specifically about making other people laugh and i think we should honor that!!

bring back tiny tim !!! get that bitch up on stage!!! i want his big teary eyes sayin' like - milord, we are all fools and we are all family. the real fool is those that don't wish joy on others - amen!
