Y’all really like to forget that Nicky went through conversion therapy and Aaron conquered severe addiction and Matt was willing to sleep on the couch of people he didn’t even know if it meant remaining sober and dan was forced to sleep in class bc she worked all night to support herself and her family and Allison literally starved herself to avoid gaining muscle when she started playing exy. These characters that come off as “normal” in the books have gone through hardships and come out the other side stronger and don’t forget about everything they’ve been through just bc their lasting trauma isn’t as obvious as the others

Herman i think would have to unlearn how scared he is of physical affection.

Touching him or being touched by him is never something people find comfortable or wanted. Just because hes used to how it feels to be wet all the time doesnt mean thats something other people are comfortable having thrust onto them by him. Him being wet has ALWAYS only just caused a lot of problems for him, theres so many things he cant do normally because of it and over time, hes learned to think hes a problem theres no fix for.

If youre going to date the Herman, you gotta be willing to be a little soggy at almost every turn. Herman needs someone thatll cuddle him without a moments hesitation, who will hold him by the soggy hand out in public. He needs someone thats going to train him out of thinking hes a nuisance.

If you notice hes struggling with an every day item because of the water shedding, it would mean the world to him for you to get him either a waterproof version or a way to waterproof the one he has!

Really, all that boy needs is someone whos patient and wont recoil at how his powers work, that simple support would mean the world to him.
