Looking at what national news outlets are up to right now, one might not realize a whole major US metropolitan area is, you know, sort of under attack by paramilitary forces. Wild.

While it's not going unreported entirely, what's been happening in Minnesota and in Minneapolis–Saint Paul in particular since Renee Good was murdered is not getting the attention it should be.

There are already 2000 gangsters from DHS deployed, and "hundreds" or "1000" more are on the way, depending on which Trumpland person you ask. As a point of reference, the Twin Cities' actual police total just under 1200 (600 in Minneapolis and 590 in Saint Paul according to the depts' sites).

The feds there are more or less attacking people at random. They've gone door-to-door for "citizenship checks" (completely illegal). They've knocked doors down when residents haven't complied (obviously also completely illegal). In addition to abducting and brutalizing the immigrants they come across during their rampages, they've done the same to US citizens of color and are also harassing, stalking and physically attacking observers.

If there’s one thing I love, it’s characters having multiple outfit changes. While the book describes only two outfits for Dorothy, I could not pass up the opportunity to design several different looks for her throughout the story. This is only the FIRST set of looks for her.

Okay I'm sorry I generally try not to participate too much in this because I don't want to get caught up in the shipping wars but,

People are genuinely calling Dorothy a villain or a selfish brat because...she ruined Gelphie?? I?? You have media comprehension, right?

One, I am not turning this into a ship post and do not turn this into one, but all I'll say is, if Gelphie was to happen or not it is on the two adults in that actual relationship to make it happen or not, Dorothy is a fucking child. Y'all are being weird.

Two. Look, if I was a kid who was swept away in a land I did not know, got kidnapped, shoved into a basement and my life was being threatened over shoes that were given to me and could not be taken off. I, too, would not give a flying fuck about my captor's sexuality or if she likes a woman that was supposed to be helping me and gave me said shoes or not.

Can y'all get some perspective, please. I am a huge shipper and focuse on ships a little too much (And I do ship Gelphie before y'all start) but y'all, Dorothy is a manipulated child in this and what Elphaba, and Glinda, did involving her were still wrong.

Also.

While it is fun to explore her character on realizing this,

Dorothy Gale in the books is going to come back to Oz, meet her constant companion Ozma whom she will be very close with, will be constantly hugging and full on kissing and whom she is living with, I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS TYPE OF SLANDER TO DOROTHY.
