A wound like that would’ve sent anybody to their knees. Instead, Ras grinned, and charged him like a wild beast. ‘Matilda was right,’ he thought, for a brief moment, before suddenly she was in front of him and swinging that weapon of hers with intent to kill. ‘She’s a monster.’
