I do think a strong case can be made about Google starting it earlier than before OpenAI, since I do think Google would want us to be dependent on their services

Their trying to rally Australia and Canada to ban Twitter because of grok and the images that are being made with it
It’s not been said if they will ban it or not, but people need to understand that this will not solve the issue
