We mostly focus on the second part of this fight but there is something SO tragic about "I did everything you said, but you weren't there."

George really though that’s what kept people around. Doing what they said. I… I’m gonna go lie down

George taught a friend how to snort it to cure her menstrual cramps so he probably could as well use it to deal with whatever pain he had after the accident too.

Who is this friend?

Her name is Inger Simonsen. She has a book where she wrote this:

“I know music affects us. Like if you were locked in a room and forced to listen to heavy metal music for twenty-four hours, it would affect your nervous system that you’d just end up being a wreck. I think some music can make you aggravated, other music can soothe you, and it can influence your ideas, or it can make you dance. Music can do so many different things. But in the end, I don’t know if it can change the world. I think people have to make the change themselves. There’s not enough magic that’s gonna be able to just do it for us.” - George Harrison, Swedish interview (1987)

I agree with anon about the George making noise while Pattie has a concussion-situation. A while back I actually searched off all souces for the origin of this story. Clayson does not give a footnote, why mention it? I was intrigued because for me it did not sound realistically, not even for George in the early 70s. When you almost kill your wife, you must have a sense of guilt and he did love her (while acting coldly but still). But maybe it was a cocaïne moment.

Honestly, cocaine is the reason why I don't think the story is that far out. George taught a friend how to snort it to cure her menstrual cramps so he probably could as well use it to deal with whatever pain he had after the accident too. It does sound more like a cocaine moment than something malicious but still I bet it wouldn't be fun for Pattie. That's it, if the story is true. There are many wrong facts in Clayson's book, for example he said that John and Yoko visited George during the Dark Horse tour.

Sometimes I try to convince myself like ‘George had so many friends. He couldn’t possibly have been fucking them all’ and then I remember how good he was at that and…. Well, he could, actually

Anonymous asked:

What do you mean there is not a source of John saying that Maureen/George was incest?

Personally, I have not found a reliable source yet.

In Clayson's book about George, he cites "Sun, July 15 1980" when talking about this but I cannot find the original article. I also doubt that John was talking about George's affairs in 1980 but the quote has been around at least since then.

Are we sure that story of George making loud noises when Pattie was recovering is true? I don't think Pattie ever actually mentioned it, and I recall it was in one of those books where the writer made things up.

I'm also a little skeptical of George being the reason she stopped modeling. I'm sure he discouraged it, but there are model photos of her up to 1973. I get the feeling it was similar to Jane and Paul in that he didn't like it, but if she said "fuck you" and did it anyway he wasn't going to stop her. Her career truly ended when she got with Eric.

The only source I remember talking about George making noise is Alan Clayton's book which is not that great as it has a lot of inaccuracies so yeah, there is a high chance that it didn't happen or that the story was not a big deal and was added for drama.

About Pattie's career, she gradually stopped modeling during her marriage. Though Pattie says that George didn't like her modeling, she also has said that she felt she reached the top after 4 vogue covers and it was her choice. I think both can be true, George was never the type to actually force her to do something but he made his dislike clear and it influenced Pattie's decisions. The whole Beatle fame was probably a factor too.

The quality might me completely dodo but can we take this moment to appreciate this cute gif of George and Olivia because their sooo cute!!!!!

Cloud Nine was released in 1987. The openly nostalgic "When We Was Fab" reached No. 8 on the charts. "Got My Mind Set on You" became a No. 1 hit. Later that same year, George formed a new group with Eric Clapton, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, and Bob Dylan called the Traveling Wilburys. -Theresa Celsi, "The Beatles"

Perfect timing! I've been seeing a lot about the Traveling Wilburys on my feed lately. I mean, most of it is in a shipping context, but what's wrong with that?

What kind of book is that?

This is Jeff Lynne erasure.
