Ninjago by the Rapidly Aging Numbers

Some children who watch Ninjago today have parents who were at the target age for Ninjago when it first aired. I love how long this show is. Never end. It's so funny.

sometimes i wonder if we have forgotten that sharing creative work is, fundamentally, a bid for human connection. like I'm not posting art or fic for 'engagement' i'm posting it looking for other sickos to play with! i'd be making it anyway for my own gratification because there's something wrong with me, i'm sharing it hoping we can have something wrong with us together <3

cranboo is eating bowling alley fries in teh background and has rolled three consecutive strikes on pure looney toons luck alone.

jack is a worker there and has never needed a smoke break so bad in his life. hes so tired.

the syndicate are also there bowling on the other end of the lanes and cranboo keeps sneakily walking over between both groups and playing with them at once.

techno is overcomplicating every single shot and quoting ancient chinese history as usual.

phil is in the arcade whenever he has a moment playing space invaders or tetris or smth and hes on level 200.

niki is trying desperately to win the rigged plushy drop game by the entrance. she succeeds. she has a very large jigglypuff now.

the bowling alley speakers are playing take on me.

everything is right in the world.

The older I get the more I admire people who are earnestly, genuinely into whatever their thing is. I know it sounds like an annoying cliche but unless you're being cruel or hurtful there is really no need to be normal about things. The dude with the bad fake accent at the renaissance faire is having the time of his life. The people having photoshoots with their fashion dolls are loving it. The old lady with a yard unreasonably full of tacky ass lawn ornaments is having a blast, HOA be damned.

Don't waste your time being too cool to have fun, y'know?

Is your landlord a piece of shit and refusing to fix stuff around your place? If you’re living in the US, most cities have a section on their website for building code enforcement. Find the contact information for the department and tell them what’s happening. Make bureaucracy work for you! The government will contact your landlord and if they don’t comply they will be fined! The threat of losing money is a mighty motivator and they’ll most likely get their shit together within a day or two.

My ceiling was leaking for two weeks without me hearing anything from management besides “we’ll get to it”. Literally the DAY after I emailed the code enforcement department, management came by with a contractor to give me estimates on when my roof would be fixed. This shit works y’all

I don’t normally post or reblog about this on my Tumblr, but this is important. I tried this and it made our landlord so mad that they accused us of not letting them in to fix the apartment, told code enforcement these lies, and threatened to evict us. If you do this, make sure you document EVERYTHING.

Oh gee I wonder why there might be crime spikes going on everywhere in 2021???? WHAT A MYSTERY.

It couldn’t POSSIBLY have anything to do with the way many many (many) people are still out of work, covid is still around and not going anywhere despite the slow rise tide of vaccinations, AND PEOPLE HAVE NO MONEY.

Like, really? Desperate people, desperate actions. The government is pretending like three miniscule checks and and extension of unemployment benefits mean everything is FINE and DANDY now, when it’s very much NOT.

Of course there’s been a rise in crime ffs
