SO. Officially moving any new art to my tapas.io account for the time being. I've said this a few times before but now I'm pinning it.

You don't need your own account to view stuff, just to like/comment. I won't be offended if you don't. A tip if you've never used the site before, hit the "list" button to make the list on the side go away if its in the way.

The "General GF Comics" series is where most stuff is going to go. The other series on there are self-explanatory. I'll probably make a separate one for art that isn't comics too. I'm still uploading my back catalog so bear with me.

I'll still check back here to see asks and stuff, but if they're gonna be answered in comic form I'll probably post them there. I'll also probably post links to new comics, even if its annoying.

If you're not tired of reading yet, here's some links about why I'm doing this.

Anonymous asked:

did you ever play aai2? what're your thoughts on it?

I've tried to play it on two separate occasions now. The first time was like 7 years ago. I got to a stopping point somewhere in the middle of the first case and didn't feel compelled to pick it back up again.

The second time was either last year or the year before that maybe. I finished the rest of the first case and got through the second one too, but I found that second case to be so much of a slog. It felt needlessly long and meandering... And neither case felt rewarding enough at the end to warrant any of it.

I haven't picked it back up again since. I know lots of people say the game really picks up near the end and ties everything together, but people said that about The Great Ace Attorney games. And while those things were true in that case, neither of them really made up for the fact that the games just weren't very fun to play...

Er, so. My thoughts are that I think aai2 just wasn't very fun. Maybe someday I'll pick it back up again. If the "7 years ago" comment earlier didn't give me away, I played the fan translation. I do wonder if maybe the official one would be more fun.

Whilst I am here talking about movies, some of you might remember in my little horror movie ranking chart I listed Ready or Not (2019) slightly on the "dislike" side.

Truthfully, I liked that movie the entire way through up to the very end, which I hated enough to nudge the movie into overall dislike.

Today I found out that ending wasn't the original end, and they struggled to rework it quite a few times.

I feel almost vindicated in a way.

i have a very strong memory from when I was a kid of my parents and aunt and uncle at a restaurant talking about having just watched The Sixth Sense.

One of the things that stood out to me was they had a lot to say about "The Barfing Ghost"

Needless to say when I watched it for the first time today I was not expecting such a somber atmosphere

sometimes I see posts floating around on this site akin to "if you cannot logically deduce why something is harmful, then it must not be harmful"

But the fact of the matter is, logic is not an infalliable concept. You can logic your way into all kinds of beliefs, good or bad. And for one thing it assumes the end user doing the "logic" understands everything about what causes harm and how.

Theres lots of people who do in fact mean harm that can "logic" their way into persuading you that they don't.

You can be open to adjusting your morals on things, but just... be careful.

I know it's a bit of a fraught topic, but as I get older I start to worry about the more vulnerable people who will see these types of posts and the potential for them to "logic" their way into getting hurt.

Oh yeah also Re:testosterone debaucle-

The trans care specialists were so crazy unsympathetic to anything I was going through. Those guys didn't care or really even seem to believe me about anything. And their only idea was essentially just "well if it's a problem for you maybe you'll just have to stop testosterone", without helping me figure out why things were happening the way they were.

the only person who even cared about helping me be able to stay on testosterone was the random neurologist

anyway i was thinking about that because lyme disease eats all your vitamin D away and I was put on supplements for it at the time. And recently my doctor suggested I start on them again (though to be honest I think its because she forgot why I had to take them in the first place)

and i have found that taking these vitamin D supplements when my body's vitamin stores haven't just been ravaged by lyme is making me have a hard time falling asleep.

also over the course of that entire saga I ended up being diagnosed with and treated for lyme disease because the mystery headache symptoms mimicked it.

I tested positive for it, took a round of antibiotics and was confirmed to not have it active in my system anymore afterward. And it did not fix anything I had been going through, because despite having it- it wasnt the thing that was causing those symptoms.

Crazy to think about.

I have mentioned this before, but I do my testosterone shot every 8 days instead of 7 like most tend to do.

What I might not have mentioned before is I do this because if I do it every 7 instead I get incredibly sick with indescribable head pressure and pain. Like, bedriddenly sick.

I've tried asking several different trans care specialists about what could possibly cause that, but nobody knows and nobody cares enough to try and find out. I had to figure out to switch to 8 days on my own with the worlds worst game of trial and error. I was only ever met with the fact that my testosterone levels were in a normal range and "testosterone shouldn't be causing that".

However, over an excruciating amount of time (and a lot of other seeing other doctors -including a neurologist and getting an MRI at one point- to make sure it wasn't anything else) it was clear it was the thing that was causing that.

I still don't know why things are okay at 8 days instead of 7. And I don't have infinite time off work or money to be throwing at doctors to figure it out. So I just carry on doing 8 days.
