i’ve had things thrown at me and across my classroom. i’ve been screamed at on an almost daily basis. i’ve had kids standing on chairs and jumping over desks. i’ve had to chase after fleeing kids. i’ve been threatened. i’ve been kicked and charged and hit. this year was traumatic, and it still hasn’t quite sunk in that i’m done. they’re on their way to 5th grade. i made it through.

i think there are still a few of you around that this will matter to… i finished the first complete draft of my original novel sometime in mid 2021. i reworked it a bit a couple of times, and finally decided it was ready. officially started sending it out to agents in april.

two days ago one of them sent me a request for a partial manuscript!

somehow i always find my way back here
