Um.. yeahh..

I love historical costume design so much, so getting the idea to go and give Lawless and Ophelia historically accurate* costumes was so exciting for me! I based them off Italian styles in the late 17th century. I did this whole deep dive and matched Ophelia’s kingdom to the Duchy of Massa, with the the neighboring kingdom being the Principality of Carrara, and the bigger power that destroys both being the French under Napoleon. But then I went to look for specific Massa dress and found nothing, so general norther Italy it is!
