@harpy-apparatus-moved

Rustling of the leaves used to be my lullaby,

In the sunny south when I was a tot so high,

And now that I have grown

And myself alone.

Cradle me where southern skies can watch me with a million eyes,

Oh sing me to sleep,

Could it be me that got myself in this condition

What can I do to stop all these hallucinations

Maybe its because of a stupid superstition

But sooner or later I'll just sigh & explode - sigh & explode

My head's going round and round

I'm getting very dizzy can't keep up with this noise

And no one liked it when you said

That when you die you're really dead

Those people laughed and

So you left that stupid scene

And you made your way back home

Now you're crying

With your head on the telephone

Animals came from miles around

So tired of walking so close to the ground

They needed a change; that's what they said

Life is better walking on two legs

But they were in for a big surprise

Because they didn't know the law

Not a single word was said, the night still hid our fears

Occasionally you showed a smile but what was the need

I felt the cold far too soon in a room of 95

My friends are lying in the sun, I wish that I was there

I am going to Los Angeles to build a screenplay about lovers who murder each other

I am going to Los Angeles to see my own name on a screen, five feet long and luminous

As the radioman says it is 5 A.M. and the sun has charred the other side of the world and come back to us

And painted the smoke over our heads an imperial violet

And I am breathing into you

It makes your features move

And they shimmer like balloons that fly above the ocean

All the world is waiting here

You can hear the children cheer

But they'll need you when you're near

The brink of complete implosion

Crown your king when your life is broken

Everything you are I'm tearing through

Everything you want I'm wanting too

I gave you more than I thought I could ever do

And I will never break you

Lying in beds of garlic and orchids

He closes an eye, which closes another

And in sleep he dreams, of watching and looking

And feather clouds dancing, he curls up his lid and sleeps...

Swirling with visions on man's confusion

All of the work, done just to appease him

The Argus he cries, though love has its place in the sun

It's only man's fear that carries him on...
