I was told today by people who genuinely care about my wellbeing to remove the pro Palestine messages in Hi Nay (which for people who don't listen to the show are included within the actual show) because it's dangerous, and I was just like... I can't? Not just from a moral standpoint, but from a logistical one. Even if I wanted to, I can't.

If I had to go back and check every single pro palestine video, post, audio clip, episode credit, I've ever done, it'd take me weeks, if not months. Moreover, certain sites simply don't have the editing capacity to manage that kind of deletion without deleting the entire episode.

I have no desire to go back and pretend I haven't supported the sane, humane view this whole time, but even if I did there's really no changing things. There's no changing that Israel committed and is still committing genocide against civilians, or that the USA bought and paid for that genocide by the billions.

But that does make me want to pose a question to the audio drama community: how many audio dramas do you listen to that openly support Palestine?

@podcastsagainstapartheid is a decent resource. If you care about the people who speak out when you can't, try to support them as best as you can. I want to personally shout out @monkeymanproductions for always being loud and committed to Palestinian aid and liberation.

I was in grad school when the most recent attacks on Palestine began, so Under the Electric Stars was on hiatus, but UTES and every Aster Podcasting Network production is always pro-Palestine.

Season 2 features a very Jewish story about the destruction of the Jewish homeland and diaspora, since diaspora in general is a huge part of UTES. And it's because we're an audio drama/fiction podcast that deals with topics around diaspora, land sovereignty, and human rights that we're in full support of a free Palestine.

I genuinely believe in the revolutionary spirit that I write about--it's the whole reason that I created Under the Electric Stars!
