HATER MOMENT!!! i’ve been watching a lot of this youtuber who repairs guitars for Content and in his videos he’s always splicing in a song he made w the instrument subject of the video. and it’s crazy to me to be so adept at instrument repair and to never steer away from writing like weezer songs. like every song he puts in his videos is the most middling 90s post grunge stuff. it sounds like beulah b sides and beulah is a band that’s all b sides.

we keep delaying but i’m excited to do book club for the candy house w theo. we both read a visit from the goon squad last fall and it really was one of the best things ive ever read. im a little scared to start the candy house cuz idk if jennifer egan can live up to the expectations. i wanna read her historical novel too soon cuz id like to see her not doing po-mo stuff

i’m so happy about my new shelf. theo won’t see this post but they’re mad i wasn’t over the moon when they first gave me the shelf but it’s a great shelf and i’m so happy to have more places to put my books. when i was a kid i saw my mothers 10 bookshelves packed to the brim and thought ill never do that, it takes up so much space and she hardly reads them. im there now though. i have too many and i’ve nowhere to put them.
