Elderly lady mail clerk and young customer are chatting. Customer says, "oh! I'm wearing my boss's coat right now, give me something weird to put in the pocket!" Others within earshot all start looking for something because, hey, important quest. Mail clerk finally reaches under counter, pulls out a large roll of labels, and tears one off.

This was the second smutty fic I had ever written, and I'm pretty sure I watched The Letter Room at least 10 times while writing it. Even with the passage of time I still think it's pretty okay. Thought of the idea after the power went out because someone slid into telephone pole. Unfortunately there were no warm cuddles for me after the power went out. By the end of the fic I had fallen head over heels for a dopey, love drunk Richard and his mustache.

i’m so sorry to make a post like this after being MIA here but recently my cat was rushed to the ER for a severe urinary blockage. he has since gotten surgery to remove bladder stones but remains at the vet due to his kidney levels still being too high.
the cost of his care is overwhelming, totaling almost $20k at this point. i fear that it will deplete my entire savings as its uncertain when he’ll be discharged.
i don’t want to give up on him. to anyone who knows me either online or in real life, he’s my entire world. he’s all i ever talk about. he’s my sweet little baby who’s been so strong throughout this ordeal.
because of this, i would be grateful for any donations you are able to and willing to give. and as a small token of my appreciation, i’ll write you a custom fanfic featuring any oscar isaac and pedro pascal character.

It's so hard to choose a favorite! It's between Kintsugi and Once Upon a Dream. I've always loved the idea of Kintsugi in pottery. The thought of making it a metaphor to Marc's, Steven’s and Jake's D.I.D. Just came up one day and it stuck. Then with Once Upon a Dream there's so much symbolism I ended up throwing in there unintentionally. Richard’s name is only used when he feels most 'human', but when he can't wake Sleeping Beauty it goes back to 'Sandman'. Then the story almost mirroring the arch of the Letter Room. Richard gets engrossed in Rosita's letters, in Sleeping Beauty's Dream, but something comes along or happens and reminds him the letters aren't meant for him, Sleeping Beauty's love wasn't completely meant for him. He gets to witness, but gets the reminder the experience isn't his alone, and it's just part of his job. Definitely the most proud of that. 🥹
For 2026 all I have is more fuel for my Richard Muñoz obsession. I really want to write a part 2 for Once Upon a Dream. I had so many ideas, but the word count simply couldn't hold it all!
I also really want Richard to have a mid-life crisis. Becoming a prison guard might have been convenient at the time he chose that path, but you can tell he wants to grow into a different role. Even his role in the letter room restricts his involvement somewhat. Then of course his long-term partner needs to reassure him and reward him along the way. 😂
Then of course write more headcannons for my wedding invites. The invites are done, but I want more than 2-3 bullet points to go with them. 😅
I just hope I have enough free time in 2026. I have one really big freelance side quest coming up and I have no idea how much free time I'll have. I just hope I can do more than a small handful of things!
