Why is it that whenever I search something on tumblr that’s a multiple word phrase half of the results that come up are like an anonymous ask to some blog saying “Can you write me a fanfiction about dom!yandere!catboy!Sans Undertale painting a nude portrait of f!reader who is 6′2″ and has major depressive disorder and can you include peeing and pooping and blunt force trauma and premarital sex” and then the blog responds with a gif with a weird filter on it and several paragraphs of writing about how Sans loves your female ass and wants to kill anyone who pees on you because he’s the only one who’s allowed to pee on you and the post has 500 notes and I have to see it because I typed “my little pony” in the search bar and it happens to have all 3 of those words in it

was reading about birth control methods and saw one that said "dont worry, this wont stop your periods!" which was fascinating wording to me. like dont worry? whos the sick fuck thats like "yeah i dont want to get pregnant but i ABSOLUTELY want to continue bleeding once a month thats very important to me."

Yes people hate Israelis because they're violent settlers who have been cheering on the genocide of Palestinians for 2+ years. But it's also because they're an extremely insufferable people. They take their entitlement with them when they travel. They disrespect local customs and just ooze white supremacy.

Thailand is literally fed up with Israeli tourists. The town of Pai in Thailand needed government intervention because of the way Israelis have been behaving there.

And these "tourists" include IDF soldiers and reservists (which is basically just another way of saying Israeli citizens) who have been plaguing the town of Pai with complaints that range from cultural insensitivity to harassing locals and destroying emergency room equipments (how Israeli).

Resulted in revoked visas, deportations and crackdowns in other cities like Koh Phangan.

there’s this term i coined in my friendgroup i call “the charizard effect” and it can apply to anything and everything, but it was born from me explaining my feelings about the pokemon charizard. the term is basically about how overexposure to something be it by corporate shilling or fandom prominence drives me away from really enjoying something bc i’m exposed to it so much against my will i become tired of it. it came to me bc i was ranting about how tpci does not, and cannot stop reinventing charizard, and how it is popular and obtusely included in almost every region, merch, etc in every way possible and it’s highly commodified.

i dont dislike the pokemon charizard, in fact i really like its X form, but i am exposed to so much charizard in my pokemon consumption that i cant be bothered to care for it in any more than in passing. this applies to a bunch of other stuff i’d otherwise be ok with, but i always just call this aversion phenomena “the charizard effect”

making this term has done numbers for me being able to concisely express how i feel abt something. like. its not charizard’s fault i feel this way, im sure i’d feel normal abt it if it was stripped of all this over commodification, but i cannot. hence the name

I feel so insane about ai.
