YOU PICK I VID

I am continuing what will now be my annual tradition of doing a YPIV video for Valentine's Day with the song Audrey Hepburn by Maisie Peters

HOW IT WORKS: Comment any of the couples in my ships list document linked at the bottom of the post (italicised ships are the ones that I’m the most motivated to edit but I love all of them!) and a part of the video you think fits them or you would like to see them edited to. Anyone can request a part (and feel free to request more than one!) but only one part per ship, so please check the list of which parts and relationships have already been assigned.

Also just clarifying this is NOT a collab. You will not be responsible for anything other than picking the couples and then I will edit the video and hopefully post it on valentine’s day

~PARTS~ Part 1: OPEN Part 2: Percy x Annabeth claimed on YouTube Part 3: Anne x Gilbert claimed on YouTube Part 4: OPEN Part 5: Luke x Lorelai claimed on YouTube Part 6: Emma x Killian for an IRL friend Part 7: OPEN Part 8: Nina x Maggie claimed on YouTube Part 9: Ron x Hermione claimed on YouTube Part 10: Aziraphale x Crowley claimed on YouTube

Three spaces left still to pick for this!

one of the most boring lessons I’ve learned is that when a task feels overwhelming, you just have to start doing it. Even if you’re not sure how to do 90% of it, look for one small component that seems close and start there. Sometimes it’s reading one article on the topic, or searching one related term, or literally just googling how to do the task. Do anything other than thinking about it. The process of working on a thing inherently makes it less scary.

I dream of one day being able to craft characters as vividly and efficiently as Billy Joel in “Piano Man.”

  • Paul “the real-estate novelist”. Three words! That’s all we need to build a complete picture of this man’s personality and history. And then it just rounds out the picture with “never had time for a wife”.
  • And we don’t even pause a beat before jumping to the equally vivid tragedy of “Davy who’s still in the navy and probably will be for life.”
  • And these two are talking together! Because of course they are, these kindred souls stuck in their lives of mediocrity.
  • The whole song’s nothing but lightning-fast character sketches. The old man whose song is “sad and sweet and knew it complete when I wore a younger man’s clothes.”
  • John at the bar, so firmly established as cheerful and friendly and exuberant before the 180 turn to “Bill, I believe this is killing me.”
  • The waitress practicing politics.
  • Even the businessmen “sharing a drink they call loneliness, but it’s better than drinking alone.”
  • All these tiny little tragicomic figures gathered around a bar’s piano. Sketched in five minutes and thirty-nine seconds–and that’s counting the choruses and harmonica breaks.
  • I dunno, I just think about it every time I hear the song and think he deserves more credit for it.

thinking about maxwell and torse watching olethra and ludmilla flirting and dancing around each other making comments about is being "frivolous" and how they don't understand why two people who like each other would simply not just be together and why it would be more complicated than that. everyone else tells them that they just wouldn't understand. meanwhile torse sits beside max during meal times where he doesn't even need to be to listen and laugh at jokes max tells, max stays up late at night with torse listening to stories of zern and his time with comfrey despite needing sleep because well torse doesn't go to bed so it's not like he's keeping him up. they like each other and so naturally, why wouldn't they be together, they understand perfectly.

To everyone who says the Hunger Games isn't a love story:

Obviously she loves Peeta, but even if you remove both him and Gale entirely, it still is one!

Everything she does, she does out of love. Volunteering for Prim, staying strong for her and their mother when she says her goodbyes. Even before, braving the woods to keep her family fed. She loves her father deeply, and honours him with every shot of her bow, with every memory she has of him.

She loves Rue, and that's what moves people in the districts! That's how she gets to them. Because despite coming from the poorest district, going to the Hunger Games where only one person comes out, she shares her food with her, her sleeping bag. She comforts her when she dies and sings to her until her canon fires.

That's love!

The whole revolution only happens because Katniss is driven by love. That's the whole point.

Katniss is love!
