warnings: fluff, husband!doyo, so cutie so domestic ☹️ an: FINALLY I GET TO WRITE FOR DOIE >< ive been wanting to but didnt know what to do… also remember everyone !!! there’s still prompts left !!!
when doyoung comes home, it’s not long after you do. you only had enough time to undress from your going out clothes and sit down on the couch when he arrived. he walks through the door with a sigh, setting his things down and removing his shoes. finally, he looks up, and the wrinkles in his forehead soften when he makes eye contact with you.
you open your arms to him, and he makes his way to you, falling on top of you after removing his outerwear. his head rests in your chest, and you stay like that for a while, letting him get rid of work brain.
“it was rough today?” you ask, freshly done nails scratching his scalp. he hums, picking his head up to look at you, leaning in to give you a kiss. “wanna talk about it?”
“no thank you.” he kisses you again, before taking your hand to look at your manicure. “ah, so this is the mystery transaction on my card then..” he runs his fingers over the designs before bringing your hand closer, lips grazing over the rocks on your ring finger. “very pretty, my dear. why don’t you tell me what you did today, hm? i don’t think you care about my boring stuff..”
he sighs, sinking back into your body when your fingers return to his head. with a kiss to his crown, you start, “i care about everything you tell me, even if it’s boring. but, since you asked…”
the late afternoon bleeds into evening as you recount the day you had, going shopping and getting your nails done (all with his money). despite his eyes being closed, his breaths even, he hangs on to every word despite his fatigue. eventually your words die down, doyoung falling asleep to the sensation of your nails on his scalp, and you’re right there with him, going to sleep with the comforting weight of your husband on your torso.
