"Friends outside of Minnesota please read. I'm sharing a post written by a personal friend and medical doctor: Friends outside MN, you need to know what is happening here. Everyone knows that ICE shot and killed a woman here on Wednesday. But that’s not the only thing that’s going on:

  • ICE agents are cruising areas with immigrant-owned businesses, and kidnapping patrons and employees alike. Yesterday they abducted two US citizen employees at a suburban Target, one who was begging them to allow him to go get his passport to show them.
  • ICE is going door to door in immigrant-heavy neighborhoods, asking residents where their immigrant neighbors live. Read that again. If it sounds like something out of your high school history textbook, that’s because it is.
  • ICE is targeting schools and school buses. They pepper sprayed teenagers and abducted two school staff members at the high school up the street from me on Wednesday. Police are literally escorting school buses to ensure children can get to school and home safely. The Minneapolis Public Schools have moved to virtual learning for the next 4 weeks because it’s unsafe for children or teachers to physically come to school.
  • They are targeting hospitals and clinics. Patients are scared and are cancelling their appointments or just not showing up. Kids are missing their checkups and vaccines, folks aren’t getting their cancer care, etc.
  • They are smashing windows in cars and homes.
  • ICE is increasingly picking up Native Americans—again, targeting folks based on skin color alone.
  • They are arresting and beating legal observers. A friend of a friend had her arm broken yesterday. Folks are showing up at local hospitals, brought in in ICE custody, with severe injuries that are absolutely inconsistent with mechanism of injury reported by ICE. (Think: patient appears to have been beaten unconscious, while ICE agent says he slipped and fell.) I can’t emphasize enough that these ICE agents do not have warrants. There are 2,000+ agents here and they are simply hunting for anyone that’s not white. It doesn’t matter if you’re a citizen or a green card holder, they will kidnap you first and ask questions later. But the community is fighting back.
  • Protests are happening every day.
  • Community groups have been leading know-your-rights sessions for months, often to packed venues.
  • Whistles are being distributed by the thousands, carried on keychains and worn on coat zippers, always at the ready to be blown in warning if ICE is spotted.
  • Drivers are following ICE vehicles, blaring their horns in warning.
  • Businesses are locking their doors even while open to keep employees and customers safe. As I type this, I’m standing guard at the locked door of our neighborhood burrito joint while I wait for my takeout order, so the employees can focus on their jobs. The place is packed with neighbors supporting this small business.
  • Anti-ICE signs are posted everywhere. The community is making it crystal clear that ICE is not welcome here.
  • Parents and neighbors are standing guard outside schools, organizing carpools, and escorting kids to and from school on foot.
  • Parents of kids in Spanish-immersion daycare (there are a LOT of these daycares here!) are keeping their kids home so the teachers don’t have to take the risk of coming to work.
  • Churches and community groups are holding fundraisers to buy and deliver groceries to families who don’t feel safe leaving home.
  • Mutual aid money is going out to folks who can’t make rent because they can’t work or because a breadwinner was abducted, or who need a warm place to stay after their home’s windows were smashed. THAT is what is happening here. This fight is ongoing and it’s horrifying to watch. But we are not backing down. To my friends in other cities and states, don’t think for a minute that this won’t happen in your town. It will. Be ready. Learn from us, as we have learned from Portland and Chicago and New York. Fight back. Don’t let us get to the last line of Martin Niemoller’s poem.” -Grant Boulanger

im not gonna pretend like im a personal friend of Mar or anything but the goth space here is extremely small and tight knit and their prescence has a domino effect on everyone. i mean fuck the gfm is already at 60% after being up for like a few hours, that's a huge deal. life is undeniably better here thanks to Mar, who's responsible for holding up like 20 different events at once.

Do you think you'll continue your ask blog?

Yeah I really want to, I have some things in mind for what to do, but part of it is needing more asks sent in (when I post) because it's discouraging to make a bunch of posts and get like one ask or like three joke asks. Also I have like 30 things I need to do that all have a deadline while my ask blog never really does. I should work on the last two puppets for the next event when I'm done with the commission and secret santa art I'm doing.

I have no idea why they're there, I didn't put them there, as evidenced by the fact that they spelled Penumbra and Solari wrong. Someone needs to hold me back before I give a list of notes on how they would actually introduce themselves simultaneously to mortals.

Nope, now it's too late It's Already Begun

  • Penumbra would introduce herself first because she is the leader and the eldest, even if Crescent is the one usually in charge of mortal interaction. She speaks in a more antiquated way, using more old fashioned sounding words and no contractions (No don't, we're, haven't, I'm, would've NOTHING). She would say

"Greetings mortals, I am the Coordinator, and these are my younger siblings. We are here to study your species and learn about the creatures inhabiting your planet."

  • Crescent would go next because she is in charge of mortal interaction and she would speak in a way that is polite and flattering, almost flirtatious. He may use contractions or not depending on the tone he wishes to convey, so in a first meeting (formal) he would avoid contractions, but when he is trying to convey familiarity (casual) he would switch to using them.

"It is so nice to speak to you, (species name), I am the Charmer, though I find myself charmed by all of you."

  • Solari would go next and they would be the most blunt and forward, not caring for social convention if they think that it's annoying or too much trouble to bother with, so they would try to come across as casual and laid back with charming disregard for authority. She would also then nudge Satellite to speak by teasing them since they are the most reserved and might otherwise not speak.

"Hey there puny mortals, I'm the Curator and I think I'd rather observe your way of dressing than study you. This is my twin, they're a huge nerd."

  • Satellite also switches between using and not using contractions but this isn't for a calculated purpose like with Crescent, it's more because they speak in a stilted way that might have them come across as more distant because of their anxieties that prevent them from being totally relaxed around anyone but Solari. They should sound distant but not formal, tense but not angry, with short choppy sentences when they are feeling particularly on edge.

"Incorrect, I am the Cartographer. I'm the one who found your world, and I am simply here to map it."

BTW I feel like I didn't emphasize it in this post so I just want to say I do not like the bot and I do not want anyone who likes my characters using it, for a long list of reasons but especially because I have psychosis and chatbots can make psychosis and delusions worse and it has hurt a lot of people. So don't use them.

I've been watching a lot of deltarune theories on youtube since that helps me with writing my own theories, and the dissonance of it is insane to me.

Like picture this: You are me, you are looking forward to seeing Papyrus in the new DR chapters, they release, the one thing that hints at Papyrus' existence is now dead silent. "Sans' brother" cannot even be mentioned anymore. You would naturally be like "What the hell is going on with Papyrus, this is crazy has anyone talked about this? Is there any speculation?" and you go look at what people are saying and basically no one has mentioned Papyrus at all.

Instead, it feels like the entire dr theory and analysis community are all pointing at some fucking creepy smiley face and going "Oh my god guys, it's the final boss! Friend has solved deltarune! Friend is the Key! Friend will help us unlock everything! All mysteries lead back to Friend! FRIEND IS GASTER!!!!"

And you look inside to see why people think Friend is so important and they're like "They've appeared during two secret boss sequences, and one easter egg fight dedicated to and filled with references to niche fan theories, they're yellow and pink which we are now sure is super important! They're a cat (how are you so sure, they also appear in a form similar to endogeny) and the tail of hell is made of balls which is an obvious reference to the (directly stated to not be canon or critically important) spamton sweepstakes blog posts from Noelle about cat petterz!"

Like yeah maybe Friend is important but like. I feel like the one major character from Undertale who still hasn't even spoken in DR, who was foreshadowed to appear and hasn't, who is mentioned and implied less and less with every subsequent chapter, ALSO HAS TO BE PRETTY IMPORTANT? Like what is the build up for???? Watching DR theories and analysis where all this emphasis is given to this fucking nothing creature built on coincidence and speculation while Papyrus is often not even mentioned is making me insane. I feel gaslit.

If Friend really does turn out to be nothing I won't mention it online but know the levels of I told you so contained in my body would be lethal to anyone else.
